Went to solomon's 15th oct 2016. Great food and excellent service the owner was very nice came and spoke to us for a good while. He even booked us a taxi.

Will be going again in the future

Went for a meal with the family for my mams birthday, there were over 20 of us, from a 6 year old all the way up to 71, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the service was fantastic, definitely recommend this place to everyone, thanks for a great night!

We've been eating at Solomons Restaurant and getting Takeaways from there for years and I have to say Ive never had a bad experience yet. The food is always unbelievably good and the staff couldn't be more friendly. Ive recommended it to all my friends and family. All works out for a good night in my book.

Rediscovered Solomans after many years and have had takeaway on a regular basis for the last 3/4 months, standard is exceptionally high and the food is always delicious..however, I think the chef was a bit over zelous with the spices last Friday as everything we ordered was quite hot, even the Bhuna Prawn on Puri made me sweat a bit and my lasses Tikka Mossala was quite spicy, maybe a bit too much for her palate, will still go back and hopefully the 'mild' dishes won't be quite so hot!

Outstanding food and service on my first visit on Sunday 11th September. Waitress was lovely and chatty, and when in conversation I mentioned we were out for my fiancée's birthday, she came back with a bottle of wine and box of Thorntons chocolates for her! Highly recommended.

Outstanding food and service every time! Quality is always top notch, and always tastes exceptional. A very good pint of kingfisher too! For a takeout, or a sit down meal, can’t recommend enough. Always great to introduce friends who haven’t been before for an amazing meal and to be honest find Solomon’s hard to beat! If you haven’t been before, go, you’ll not be disappointed!

Only the second time I have visited this Indian restaurant but I was greeted like an old friend and my friends were greeted like family. We enjoyed excellent hospitality and really some exquisite Indian food. The garlic naan that was served was the size of a wheel, we all shared it and ate our main dishes using the bread as our cutlery, simply delicious. As we left Shaban not only thanked us for our custom but would welcome us back anytime for drinks, food or both. A great night at Solomons - Thank you, we will be back soon...November I believe.

Nice restaurant , first time trying this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised - I don't even like lamp chops but these were amazing!! If I'm back in Newcastle will defo be returning ! ÔøΩ friendly staff also ÔøΩ

Went for a meal with my husband, last night. Ordered and waited ages for food then watched as others who had ordered after us got theirs. My husband had to shout to a staff member to get attention and ask how long the food would be and for more drinks. Then had to ask again. It eventually arrived without serving spoons and was mediocre. I’m used to the food in Solomans’s being exceptional. To add to poor and chaotic service and food, someone else’s drinks and starters were put on our bill. The staff were apologetic and said it was due to young and inexperienced staff. Please get your act together Solomans’s, we have been coming to your restaurant for years and whilst during that time there have been fluctuations, overall the food has kept us coming back. The last 3 times we have been it hasn’t been good, last night being the worst and we won’t be in a hurry to return.

We visited Solomons on New Years Eve and the service was very poor. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived and ordered yet we waited an hour and half for main courses, 2 of which were children who were starving. The staff took ages to serve and it took 15 minutes to get everything we had ordered; having to remind them what else we needed, then we had no cutlery. The restaurant clearly couldn't cope with the amount of people booked in aswell as takeaways, there were other people waiting as long as us at tables, and the entrance crammed with people. We will not be in a rush to return, very disappointing, especially for what should have been a pleasant experience celebrating.

Visited for food on Friday 14th October. Really disappointed. Have eaten here loads of times as was mine and my husbands favourite. The chicken was very salty and the quality was not up to the usual standard. Will not hurry back.

Took tooo long in serving us!!! When it came mine was cold!! There was not enough staff to cope with amount of people!!! Food would have been fabulous had it been hot!! Very disappointed ÔøΩ

We were really looking forward to you starting a takeaway, until we waited an hour and half for our food to turn up for it to be freezing so we sent it back with the driver. phoned up and we didn't get offered new food to be sent out just that you would 'sort it out next time' there wont be a next time. which is a shame as the food used to be lovely. Has this got anything to do with being under new management?

Sorry wont be back. Cock up with our takeaway order tonight but didnt realise till 30 minutes after collection. Called to complain and a replacement Dansak and Rice delivered, however this was still wrong - specifically ordered Vindaloo hot on the first and second call tonight but neither were the slightest bit warm never mind spicy hot. Totally spoiled the evening for us as didnt end up eating anything in the end and hubby now fuming... Unsure if the chef understands the request of Vindaloo Hot as this is not the first time this has happened. Shame as you have lost our business now
