It is a superb Bangladeshi cuisine curry house with fantastic food - and lots of famous customers including David Beckham.
Hassan, the owner, is a lovely, generous, community minded man who is preparing an amazing set menu for us with a number of delicious options (including vegetarian).

We have just moved to Cuffley and thought we'd try out our new local Indian last night, wow!!! Food was gorgeous, will definitely be back!

Totally 1st class.



I have been going here since 1998 and it just keeps getting better.



Hasan and his team are wonderful and tge cuisine is excellent.

Best curry for some miles! Some will use a base and spice from there. I strongly believe that all curries here are created from scratch with the finest ingredients. Superb quality food and great customer service!

We alway have lovely food when we go. Went late on Sunday 10.00 pm and asked for a table. Staff were very good even though we were one of the last ones there. Thank you.

Fantastic usually but last night was very busy and service slacked massively

Reserved table for 3 diners. Service ok. Average tandoori lamb chop starter. Same lamb zinga main. Tasty sides sag aloo & tarka daal. Wines recommended for dishes not on menu. Advertised on website ‘world best grilled chicken liver’ but dish not on menu. Owner/manager strangely denied website was Sonar Bangla’s though it clearly had his name and restaurant images and details. Alright for a nosh but food a standard offering.

We waited over 1 1/2 hours for our meal, and all the manager did was make excuses and didn't apologise once, even though we gave him constructive advice

Lots of people in the restaurant waiting for takeaway meals. Very bad service at the expense of customers eating in the restaurant, which was very busy. Waited over an hour for the food. Some people even walked out as they had waited a long time.

Good atmosphere nice staff but the food wasn't up to standard for me !! Wasn't hot enough and not spicy enough!
