Sood Description

Sood Family is not just a name for us, it means much more.

Sood sounds like Sud (South in Italian), where this project starts, in Puglia. Apart from being a lovely place with an amazing warm weather, great Mediterranean landscapes and beaches, very old towns in the countryside and by the ocean, it also delivers fantastic quality ingredients. Our ancestors have never been that wealthy in the south of Italy and they had to make the best out that simple products such as seasonal vegetables, dairy product given by the their animals in their farms . . . and from the sea of course.

This is why food from Puglia is so special…simple ingredients of great quality, fully sustainable and super tasty.

We'll be throwing a number of pop-up events and will be attending few markets in Hackney. Also we're about to launch a catering service for your private dinner parties…menu' coming up soon!

On lunch and dinner menu @bottles_london . Bruschetta with sourdough, burrata, preserved aubergines. To preserve aubergines we use a typical southern Italian technique very popular between our grandmothers. First in vinegar, then in extra virgin olive oil with garlic and chilli. Our pork belly dish. There's thousands ways to cook pork belly... Our pork belly comes from @swaledalefoods Farm. It comes crispy on top, of course. We serve it using an Italian product from 1370 called mustard fruits, produced in Cremona, Italy. It gives that asian glaze feeling to the dish although it's a very tasty, fruity and punchy Italian flavour. I've had a fantastic time at Sood Family's latest Supper Club in Hackney and will definitely go again. The food is absolutely delicious, all the products taste fresh and it's obviously all made with passion - The guys behind Sood Family are also super friendly. Food was all amazing. Ate the tenderest and yummiest octopus ever Plus rest of food top notch too. Staff got me trying wines from Italy close to aus Shiraz . All were Right up there so overall fantastic experience. Service very prompt attentive and on to our needs

At the beginning I want to tell to everyone - go try this place while it's there. You truly have to.



Came over for a birthday dinner after a friend of ours recommended the place and it certainly didn't disappoint! I was very pleased to see that chef's signature Burrata starter was on the menu (I found out later on that this is one of the dishes that are always on the menu - and I have to say, DO keep it that way because that thing is a must-have!).

The restaurant where the pop-up takes place is a brunch/lunch venue, so the seating is not the most comfortable, but what you got to understand is that you do come here for the food, and for the amazing Italian hospitality making you feel like if you sit in your best friend's living room.

The food - especially the starters - were absolutely spot-on, with perfectly balanced flavors, funky and inventive. The pasta for main course amazingly fresh and obviously lovingly hand-made. We tried chef's inventive Apricot jam Tiramisu and I can truly appreciate the "crazy idea" - it was really nice!

Special thanks to Carlo and Federico for making us feel like at home and providing such warm and excellent service. Wishing all the very best to the whole team for all the future ideas!
