Sophia Forum

We are a network of women and organisations around the UK, committed to raising awareness about how HIV affects many women here and elsewhere.

Our core objectives are the protection and promotion of the good health of women, in particular women who are HIV-positive or who are at risk of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV by:

- promoting prevention and treatment for women living with HIV, both in the UK and internationally
- increasing awareness and understanding of women's sexual health, HIV and Aids amongst health care and other professionals, service providers and the public.

In all our work, we endeavour to uphold the principle of GIPA - ie the meaningful involvement of women living with HIV in all that we do.
