We hardly ever eat out as we love to cook good food at home and are usually disappointed when we do go out for food. We came here last night for my birthday and the food was just fantastic!! So tasty, great value for money, lovely ambience and efficient friendly service. Perfect �

We booked a table for 15 for my sisters hen party and we were really pleased we did! There is a huge selection of gins all matched with mixers and garnishes and the food was fantastic all served in what felt like quite an exclusive atmosphere. We ordered the set menu for ease of ordering etc, this was great value for money and really tasty, one of our group needed a gluten free diet and separate dishes were prepared for her without a problem. We will back!

Visited last night after a recommendation from the staff at Jamie Oliver. What a little gem. Fabulous atmosphere the manager Federico was warm and inviting and mixed us some drinks that where amazing. Then had the absolute pleasure of amazing live music from kell chambers.

Visited here yesterday afternoon having read about it on trip advisor. Lovely friendly welcome, nice comments about our Christmas jumpers. We opted for the special of a bottle of wine and six tapas for £40. The bottle of wine was excellent ( the house red I understand ) and all of the dishes we chose were delicious. Whilst we hadn't booked we were able to be given a table even though it was pretty busy. My wife and I will certainly eat here again and I did notice that you can just have a drink here too. Great atmosphere, friendly helpful service and excellent food. Thanks Sotano for enhancing our Christmas visit to York.

Visited here for the first time last week and did the cocktail masterclass with bartender Steve. Oh what fun we had! I've never laughed so much and the cocktails looked and tasted amazing! He knows his stuff! It was my first time making proper cocktails so I don't know how anywhere else could beat here! Also thank you Sam for organising this to fit around our day.. Really professional and friendly guy! Lush little place with cracking staff and beltin' vibes!

Visited York for my husbands birthday and stumbled across this amazing place. Ruby Tuesday was great. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely food fab friendly staff that made me a polish rose cocktail on request that I had a few years go there with my sister that was not on menu tasted amazing had to have 2 of them I would highly recommend the place 😃

It was so lovely and they were so accommodating to us! We had a member in our group that was allergic to dairy and they took her order separately and made sure that everything was fine for them! They were so lovely about giving us recommendations for their many gins that they have available! Such great service!

A lovely little gem tucked away took us a little time to locate in amongst all the other businesses. The place was full on arrival however they took our number & rang us within 20 minutes as they had reserved a table Food was delicious a variety of drinks staff were friendly & efficient The music was fabulous too could of stayed all night

Really nice food and service until the bill arrived . Over charged for an exta bottle of wine and 2 vodka and coke. We were not happy beware and always check the bill before parting with your hard earned cash.

Lovely little place... great tapas, only spoilt by the music which was quite loud and what I'd describe as "modern dirge"

Call me old fashioned (and i probably am) but I like a little Spanish music with my tapas!

Food, wine lovely but if we had not of been vigilant they would've charged us for extra wine, drinks we did not have, always check the bill. Lovely place though

So, this bar is a local for us but first time we've been during the races but not a problem as there's door security. So we thought. Celebrating with friends having clear cancer scans we sit at the large main table. About 10.45 the place is busy, friendly and cool rag time jazz playing.

Then about six drunk lads are let, all been at the races, and immediately they're annoying a group of young girls (who leave) then think it's funny to lean over onto our table to stare and intimidate our female guests. So we leave pointing out to door staff that their policy stinks.



You really need to sort out your policy on letting drunk group of lads into a bar of that size.
