Sound Sessions music courses for 13 to 17 year olds; jam, rehearse, compose and record as part of a band.

Sound Sessions for 13 to 17 year olds, develop all the skills and techniques you want when rehearsing, composing and recording music as part of a band. Our courses are designed for solo guitarists, bassists, drummers, vocalists, key board & horn players or existing bands of up to eight musicians.

Courses run from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday each week Over the course of the week, you’ll learn about modern multi-track recording techniques and performance skills from professional musicians and sound engineers; jam, play and sing covers or your own original material; then record your favourite two tracks.

Music Director Steve McCabe is a guitar teacher at MLC Academy in Nottingham. He also teaches guitar in schools around Nottingham. Outside of work he plays for The Distillery Blues band who gig and record regularly. Steve writes and records his own music using both acoustic and classical guitars. He also plays piano and sings.
