On 27th September local bee expert Ralph will be giving a fascinating talk on all aspects of bee-keeping and producing honey.
Ralph has several hives at the farm which produce the honey we sell in our shop. If you are lucky enough to have bumped into Ralph while visiting the farm he will have invited you to put on a bee suit and visit the hives yourselves. He is extremely passionate about bees and bee-keeping and loves to share them with anyone and everyone.
It's completely f...ree. Check out the details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/259156854 787269/

Halloween is your chance to come trick or treating at the farm after dark!
This year our popular Halloween event is bigger, better and spookier than ever before. All our favourites are back, including the trick or treat trail, dress up fun and the chance to meet our most creepy animals (Tarantula anyone?).
Have fun (and maybe just a little scare) in our haunted house, battle the undead on the ghost pirate ship and shake what Dr Frankenstein gave you at the Monsters Disco.
... And if you go down to the woods tonight be prepared for a big surprise (and maybe a goat) as the witches of East Cambs have taken over and set up camp in the trees. Why not join them if there is broom....
With interactive games, spider mazes and of course all our fantastic farm animals its going to be a spooktacular halloween at south angle farm park!
We’ll have all this and more, every day during half term!
Keep an eye on our Facebook event for details and pictures.

A year ago this week our Dad and co-worker Patrick Wells unexpectedly died of heart failure. In his honour his colleagues at CLAAS are attempting a epic adventure to Monte Carlo and back in a black London taxi over one weekend! They are raising money for the British Heart Foundation and have already done amazingly well. If you love South Angle Farm Park and can spare a couple of pounds then please visit the link below. For a hundred different reasons South Angle Farm Park would not be here without Patrick and we miss him every single day. Best of luck guys, it's going to be an amazing adventure!

Whole family loved it here! Lovely set out, friendly staff, really great that you get to be so hands on with the animals! Coming back again soon! X

User

What a wonderful place and such an affordable day out! I loved that you can take your own picnic lunch and that there is no charge for under twos. My 23 month old just loved the animals (especially the lamb feeding and the bunnies) and had great fun splashing in all the muddy puddles! It’s also great because it’s not overcrowded at all.

User

Well what can I say to start other than my family loved it ! All animals well cared for & as soon as wAter bottles went empty they were filled up straight away ! Friendly staff & David the reptile man even did sign language which blew us away - as not many people go to that level in places & he had great charisma!!! Very natural - rustic farm which we loved how simple it was but it just worked great ! We will be back ! Keep up the great work guys

We visited South Angle Farm Park for the first time today, during the Festival weekend. We had a fantastic time with our nearly 18-month old. There are lots of animals to see, everything is well laid out and thought out with children in mind. There's little games along the way and information about the animals that live on the farm. We got to stroke a snake, a lizard, rabbits and Guinea pigs, and even hold a tarantula! There was a big bouncy castle and several tents filled with teddies and toys, and a ball pit. There's a shaded picnic area where we ate and a little café that sells sandwiches, snacks and ice-cream. There's also a fish pond, a bubble machine, 2 sand pits and a greenhouse where your little ones can water the crops themselves with watering cans. Everything has been arranged around the kids and it is simply fantastic! The staff was extremely helpful and kind. They even offered to get the first-aid agent and a free ice-cream for our little boy who tripped and cut his lip and nostril open. I cannot recommend this family farm enough, don't hesitate!! And for the price (free for under 2s), an absolute gem! Thank you David and all the staff, we'll be back.

We had our first visit to the farm on Saturday & had a lovely day.

The First Lady we saw on entrance was very friendly & helpful giving us lots of information.

The two gentleman that done the lamb feeding, bunny holding & reptile talk were both so friendly & were happy to engage with the children answering all questions they had.

We will defiantly be back for another visit.

Thank you for a great day

User

We had a fab day today. So many things to do. The whole team went out their way to ensure we all enjoyed the day. David did serveral displays to keep my 3 year old entertained. And Peter ensured all the children got a turn petting the animals. Daisy knew her info when it came to telling us about the reptiles. This farm is expanding and im looking forward to seeing what more they can add. Great at value for money for us and our 3 year old

User

Wasn’t really sure what to expect when we turned up but we all had a great time even my grumpy 12 year old loved it as she got to feed the lambs and hold the baby chicks my 21 month old had a great time as well petting all the animals would definitely recommend going for a family day out.

Visited for the first time with my 19 month old son, a friend and her baby. We all had fantastic time. It's refreshing to go somewhere where they are not out to rip you off and pick every last precious penny from your pocket! It's not commercial, there are no added extras meant to draw you in and spend more and there's no stupidly expensive souvenirs in the gift shop!Just blissfully wholesome fun and family time. All the staff are so welcoming and clearly passionate about the animals and the care they receive. All of the animals are lovely and gentle, even the greedy, rather enthusiastic sheep. The enclosed (almost hen free) picnic area is perfect for a little rest and for the kids to make some new friends before returning to sitting on the tractor and refusing to get off! even at home time! (or is that just my son? )

Thanks for a lovely day, we will be back... lots. Even if it is just for my son to sit on the tractor whilst I feed the ducks

User

Visited for the first time today and will definitely be back! Friendly knowledgable staff, lovely surroundings and a chance to get really hands on with the animals, thanks!

User

This is an outstanding farm, perfect for my daughter! The team is great and knowledgeable and there's plenty for children to be involved in. A particular highlight is the reptile house and the shows that go with it. My daughter is coming up for 3 but was only too keen to try and feed the chameleon and to hold a snake.

Would absolutely recommend going!

User

Thank you for a lovely day! This is such a great little place, with a lovely, homely, family feel. My nearly 4yo absolutely loved handling all the animals, and we all loved the science experiments! Huge thanks to the staff for being so knowledgeable and relaxed with the children. We felt like we’d stumbled on a real hidden treasure today

User

Such a welcoming hands on place to visit. From the minute we parked up it felt like we were visiting friends. A small but just enough place for interaction with animals and the feel of no rules here. (There are rules and health and safety is very much observed it just does not feel like it).

The hands on reptile experience was brilliant for everyone but granny! Yes I wimped out sat away from the circle. The use of makaton during the session was a pleasure to see and very inclusive. We will be back the and time again.

User

Such a great farm, our little girl loved walking round and meeting all the animals, we had a great time feeding the lambs and we'll be back soon for another visit, thank you.

User

My first ever trip here today with my young daughter and a friend, what a wonderful place. Not only is this superb value for money, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The facilities are excellent and there is just so much to do. I can't wait to come back again in a couple of weeks time, even in the rain we still managed to fill a whole afternoon! Thank you for the lovely Easter egg hunt, the crafts, the animal shows, and for letting us feed your lovely little lambs. Season tickets are such good value, next time I come I shall be getting one for myself and my daughter. :-)

User

My boys loved it an cousins. Loads to do there. Great fun. And safe away from the road. They can run free and still have fun x

User

I first visited five years ago and have come back several times a year since. It's great fun for young children - especially aged 3 to 6. We normally visit for about two hours - longer in good weather.

Critters include sheep, pigs, ducks, alpacas, donkeys and bearded dragons. There are several large outdoor enclosures, and a few indoor barns housing ponies, rabbits and guinea pigs. A warm room has the creepy crawlies (tarantulas, snakes, various lizards) which can be petted and fed at set times. There is also a large indoor barn that can be used for crafts and play, or for presenting the animals when it's particularly busy.

Keep your expectations in line with "family-run petting zoo" rather than something flashy and expensive like Chester Zoo. The friendly and knowledgeable staff put on a great show when presenting the animals, and they really make an effort to decorate the place for various theme days. They close off some sections and open others, so it looks and feels different every time.

User

Had an absolutely fantastic day here. So much interaction for the children with the animals. We spent the whole day here even in some rain. My twin granddaughters absolutely loved it and we will definitely be coming back. The staff we absolutely amazing so friendly and very helpful. Well done South Angle Park and thank you so much for a wonderful day .

User

Fantastic day out friendly family run staff, very helpful and gave us lots of information about the animals. Loved the super hero theme and activities! They had sand pits, watering garden for kids and lots of hands on things to do. Such a brilliant day for the whole family any age!

User

A really personal farm visit. The owners and staff are so accommodating and welcoming. They all seemed really passionate about the farm and were enthusiastic about sharing the place with us. My little boy of 18 months loved the place! We have been previously with our 6 year old daughter on an open day and she had a great time also. I think this is also one of few places where the pricing actually makes sense... the adults cost less than the kids, clearly cleverly thought about, as adults tend to go to these places to accompany the children who the day out is really for... and usually get less involved in activities than the children (that’s not to say adults won’t enjoy it too!) I look forward to more visits in the future as the farm takes shape even more.
