Very tranquil. Good clean showers lots of space big pitches well serviced. Great for walking and cycling. Relaxing.

This is one of the best sites that we have come across. The facilities block is spacious and very well maintained. The site itself is in a very rural location where and wild life abounds, and there is absolutely no traffic noise. Good pub food can be found less than 1 mile away. Make sure you have plenty of provisions as the nearest supermarket is about 10 miles.

Calm, Relaxing and Tranquil place to spend Holiday times.

So many places to explore in the surrounding area, And Brilliant as a Base for Day trips.

We have stayed on this site in our touring caravan for our summer holiday for three successive years and have always found it to be peaceful and tranquil. It is in a secluded spot which can be difficult to find and although the website gives good directions we did get lost the first time. We simply rang the site and were talked through the route. The owners live a few hundred yards further down the made up road but there is a free direct telephone line to their house in the laundry room should you need any assistance. We have always found the owners very friendly and helpful. The shop is open for an hour in the morning and early evening and sells the basics, half the pitches have electric hook-up and a water tap and the site provides free WiFi internet access.
The pitches on this site are very big, plenty of room for your caravan (ours is 26’ long), awning, car, small tent and still room to sit out and relax. There is a washing-up/laundry room and the toilet block is modern with big showers and toilet cubicles. They also have a family toilet/shower/washroom and a disabled toilet/shower/washroom. There are only four or five showers but I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for one, probably due to there only being twenty-five pitches on the site.
If you have younger children there is a fun fountain but no fixed play equipment. There is however a large field at the centre of the site (pitches are around this) where children can play ball games and amuse themselves. There are also animals to see in the surrounding fields.
I would recommend this site if you want a peaceful holiday away from the stresses of everyday life. If you and your family want to be entertained with fixed play areas, clubs, swimming pools you will need to look elsewhere.
