South Cambridgeshire Child And Family Centres

Our Child and Family Centres offer events, activities, help and support for families across the county.

Children’s Centres support all families with children under five, and those who are expecting a baby. Each children’s centre
has a team of experienced Family Workers who can help parents.

We work in two different ways:

We run lots of groups which take place at the Children’s Centre. Here are some of the activities you may find happening near you.

Play & Learn groups - run by a Children’s Centre Worker
Bumps to Babies – run by a Children’s Centre Worker
Speech and language sessions – run by the Speech & Language Team
Baby clinics and child development checks - run by Health Visiting team
Midwifery Clinics – run by the Midwifery Team
Parent Forum – our centres have a Parent Forum which is a great opportunity for parents to work alongside the centre to give their feedback, have their say and move the centre forward together

We have a ‘What’s On’ guide each term giving details of all of our groups and activities, please come along to the centre to collect one.

We also work individually with families needing extra support and can regularly visit you in your home if required. Family Workers can offer advice and support with the following: sleep, routines, behaviour management, play ideas, childcare options and benefits.
