The property:

A detached period property over two floors with breath-taking views across the beautiful Limpley Stoke valley. Downstairs consists of a light hall, off which are a utility room (with a washing machine and room to hang coats) and a handy downstairs toilet. There is a welcoming open plan kitchen and dining area where people congregate whilst cooking. The large living room has bi-fold glass doors all across the back to make the most of the beautiful views and to fold all the way back in the Summer.

Upstairs consists of three bedrooms and one bathroom (with bath and shower). Two of the rooms have double beds in them (one is a king-size bed) and the largest room (which we use as the children's bedroom) has two single beds. A double airbed and travel cot are available for those wanting to use them.

Outside space consists of three parking bays at the front of the property (across the lane), and a large garden at the back of the house. You can enter the garden from both the living room and kitchen, stepping out onto a patio area (with seating). From the patio there are breath-taking views over the Limpley Stoke valley. The garden is south facing and sheltered so acts as a sun trap, and the patio is perfect for a Summers evening BBQ.

There are iron railings around the patio, and a child-safety gate, which gives access to the rest of the garden. This consists of three further levels, including a large decked area (with sun loungers), a steep lawn, and then a large flat lawn perfect for kids with swings and a Wendy House.

The location and surrounding area:

Murhill is a hamlet tucked away beneath the village of Winsley. Many of the village amenities are close by including the popular local pub, The Seven Stars (a 5 minute walk), and the local shop (15 minute walk). There is also the award winning Hartley Farm within walking distance, a good place to buy excellent local meat and enjoy breakfast /lunch.

The picturesque Bradford-on-Avon is 2 miles away (and so again within walking distance), with it's charming shops, restaurants, pubs, galleries, and markets. The centre of Bath, a wonderful Georgian city, is less than 5 miles away. Bath can easily be accessed by bike along the Kennet and Avon canal tow-path (just below the property) and by car (a 10 minute drive).

The river Avon is also a short walk from the property and provides great opportunities for swimming and water activities such as canoeing.

Local attractions include Iford Opera Festival (held every Summer), Longleat Safari Park, and Bristol Balloon Fiesta.
