South Kesteven District Council

South Kesteven is an area of 365 square miles with a rich mix of changing urban settings and rich countryside and excellent road, rail and air links to the rest of the country. See panel opposite for more information.

SKDC are a local authority serving the residents of South Kesteven which includes four market towns, Grantham, Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping along with villages in the surrounding areas. We are one of the district's main employers with our head office based in Grantham on St Peter's Hill.

We want to create an environment where vibrant communities want to live, work, visit and invest.

To help us achieve this we have talked to our residents and they have told us what they want us to concentrate on.

This has helped us to take a fresh look at our priorities and re-focus on the things that matter most to local people.
