South Seven is a hidden gem! Great food/ cocktails and a lively atmosphere. Oh and the music is ace! Just don't complain when you can't book a table for less than 6 people, the place is only small and this always ensures people keep coming back. :)

So glad we found this gem of a restaurant, have been visiting for last three years. Pre booked a table for 8 tonight at 5pm, excellent food and service, the tastiest burgers around, would 100% recommend :)

Really enjoyed our meal, great service from both bar tender & waitresses. Food was fast & delicious. Overall atmosphere was great. Will definitely be returning, thank you!

Lovely decor, wonderfully attentive staff and food to die for. Would highly recommend The Greek burger with Kansas fries.

Lovely chilled out place, friendly staff, awesome music. The food was delicious! So tasty and fresh- and fast once we were sat down. Waited a while for a table but had a gorgeous cocktail and other drinks while we waited! Good selection of drinks! The place is packed and has a really good vibe. Loved it and will be back!

Love this place. Laid back atmosphere, staff are ALWAYS chatty and friendly. Food is comfort food plus 100! Excellent.

Some fine bourbons and rum behind the bar...a couple more bourbons would be greatly welcomed ;-)

Booked here for my oldest sons birthday called in as a family of 4, servered straight away loved the pitchers of coors 👍🏻 Ordered Heatwave, Holy cow , cock a hen all burger style meals and a lamb shamwalna (spelt wrong) lol this was brisket lamb on a flat bread with harissa and tahini 😝👌

Food was gorgeous all came with dirty fries, side orders of mac & cheese & hallomui fries OMG gorgeous food was fast and lovely 😊

Will be calling back and already recommended 👍🏻

5 of us went at 3 pm on Sunday. All had starters that were delicious, but in hindsight should have shared. All main courses were lovely. I had ribs, super. Next time I will have a cheeseburger and topped fries. Very fairly priced, staff friendly and efficient. A gem x

Been here a few times. Food always great, although last night I was disappointed that my hot spicy chicken was not hot or spicy. Think the jalapeños and hot sauce were missing altogether. Don't mind music but when it's so loud you cannot even have a conversation with the person you are sat opposite it's a bit much. I'm sure it's never been so loud on previous visits

Been a few times for breakfast and that is amazing. We ate there on Thursday night the starters was great, the main wasn’t so great. Chips was coated in salt, sirloin steak was rather bland. The staff was more interested in their halloumi fries sat at the bar and forgot about us and other customers. To top it off one of the chefs was swearing in the kitchen which I could clearly here. Just glad I didn’t have my children with me. The bill come to £66 but the transaction out of the bank account come out at £88. I am rather disappointed as we was really looking forward to it.

I visited last Friday night having organised a party of 10 to celebrate my birthday. I was really disappointed with the lack of gluten free options available. As a coeliac it's often difficult to eat out but I'd chosen south seven as previously I had a good meal of monkfish skewers, salad and sweet potato wedges. Last week I enquired about the falafel burger and was told it was not gf so opted for the monkfish again but couldn't have chips or wedges due to cross contamination in the frier. I had monkfish and salad which wasn't very filling and in my view not worth £12. Previously wedges had been pan fried for me however this was not offered on this occasion. My friends went to the effort of asking for a gf desert for me and said three times it needed to be gluten free. Sadly when it came had twixes and a biscuit base! Obviously I couldn't eat it and I did appreciate the gin and tonic that I was given by way of an apology. Waiting staff and chefs would benefit from some training around food intolerances and allergies. I would hate for someone to be poorly as a result. Sadly I feel south seven is not somewhere I can eat with confidence now.

I did send a PM to South Seven on 18th Feb before writing this review but sadly no one responded. Disappointing.

Went in this evening around 5:15, music was a bit loud but moved seats to make this less of an issues. Staff were polite and nice, ordered our hard shakes and started to look at the menu.



From this point on there were two kids running back and forth from the front window to the kitchen screaming and shouting. There was enough noise with the music, but with the kids this was deafening. We decided to leave before ordering anything else as this was really frustrating and all I wanted to do was enjoy some nice food.



When paying for our drinks I advised the barman (who seemed really nice) of the reasons I was leaving and he gave me a response to suggest that sadly, this was a regular occurrence.



Next time I have a craving for a decent burger I'll pay the train fair to town and go to Almost Famous instead.



Even though South 7 has been really good in the past, I won't be going or recommending it again... shame I can't give 0 stars
