South Wiltshire Utc Description
University Technical Colleges (UTCs) are a brand new type of school for 14-18 year-olds that are opening across the country. You learn practical skills that employers want alongside academic subjects.
South Wiltshire UTC will focus on Science and Engineering and be open from 8. 45am to 5. 00pm for 40 weeks a year. This gives much more teaching time than most schools and means you learn practical skills that employers want as well as GCSEs and A Levels.
The UTC is backed by the University of Southampton and by many of the area’s world class employers. Our teachers will use real challenges from industry to bring your learning to life and experts from the University and local employers will explain to you how they apply Science and Engineering ideas.
