ππThis week will be a week of INCos!!! We are looking forward to catching up with you all at the Inclusion Networks! We have a packed agenda and lots of essential updates! ππ
Yesterdayβs afternoon session focused on the OFSTED document βAre you ready?β With Sue Mann. She talked about what inspectors will be looking for in relation to school readiness, repeating the message loud and clear this is not about writing their name or reciting the alphabet!!! See attached photos for more info!!
Today we are at the Ofsted Big Conversation and have heard already from Gill Jones HMI. Key messages so far are ... the new inspection framework (sept 2019) will ensure joint observations and curriculum coverage are key!!
πππ Donβt forget our forthcoming Hub Champion Meeting! Hub champions please join us to share what you have done & to gather new ideas! Newbies welcome! Come along to find out more & get involved! Please confirm your attendance with Sally Griggs so we can make sure your jacket potatoes are on! π₯π½πππ
Childminder colleagues... Donβt forget our INCo Network coming up! This will include updates on SEND in the early years, access to resources etc and training. Then there will be an opportunity to discuss the children you work with on an individual basis and put a plan of support in place. Please share with other colleagues and contact Sally Griggs to confirm attendance!
The EYATs were out and about In settings training today. These photos are from a Bespoke βReady Steady Goβ training delivered jointly with the EP service. Thank you Woolston Adventure and Woolston Community for being such an amazing (if a little competitive π) group to work with!

This month our topic is magic and mystery. Tuesday was magical glow day. We created this with uv tape and a black light bulb. β at Acorns Childminding Service
This is an interesting snippet about the revisions to the inspection framework. We have definitely been getting consistent messages about the refreshed focus on curriculum and whether it meets the needs of the children from a range of people involved. Looking forward to the consultation in the spring!!
Please share these support groups with any suitable parents. The specialist teacher advisors will also be attending to offer support and advice...
β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ some of these ideas!!!
Well done to those who achieved their HEYA awards this week at the Early Years and Childcare briefings!!
ππWe are sooooo pleased to announce that the Educational Psychology Service will be at the remaining SEND surgeries this term!!!! CAMHS will continue to attend as well!! This means that you will have direct access to these services like never before!! πππππππ
