Southchurch Park United Reformed Church

United Reformed Denomination. Church founded 1893. No off street parking.

Our worship style is loosely traditional with hymns, children's talk, prayers for others and an address. We use Complete Mission Praise hymn book and an electronic hymnal, lacking any musicians in our group Our age range is from late twenties to nineties. Our minister is the Rev Sohail Ejaz, a family man with four young children of his own. We share him with The Cornerstone URC church in Central Avenue.
We meet for Sunday worship at 10. 30am each week, with Holy Communion on the first Sunday morning of every month. All Christian believers are welcome to join us for Communion. The children leave the service for their own activities after the children's talk and song. All helpers are CRB /DBS checked.
A weekly prayer meeting is held in a member's home on Monday morning and Girls' Brigade for both girls and boys is on Wednesday evenings. There is an independent playgroup on weekdays in term time and dance classes on Monday night and Saturday morning, and a Wives Club social group for ladies on Tuesday afternoons.

We are a very small church but this means we are more like a family than a congregation. Everyone helps out, everyone knows everybody else, and new friends are always welcomed into the family.
