Southern Pro Musica

The leading professional freelance orchestra in the South of England, SPM is Guildford's 'principal provider of classical music', delivering workshops, schools and community events and live performances in leading venues.

Southern Pro Musica has provided superb classical music across the South East for many years, often supporting prestigious choral societies in Brighton, Chichester and Portsmouth as well as hosting their own concerts. In 2013 the orchestra was appointed principle provider of classical music in the Guildford area as part of a four year partnership funded by Guildford Borough Council. Through our Music for Guildford programme, we plan to stage concerts in venues around Guildford, devise education work in schools across the Borough, offer promotion and support to outstanding young musicians through our Lunchtime Concert series and provide the highest standard of professional performance in all our events from the smallest Jazz trio to a full scale orchestral concert.
