It is not the same without the Traumatizer or the big dipper rollercoaster. It is ok for children. It needs massive investment.

Love this place! much better (and cheaper) than blackpool and the rides are great

We came here on the 24/10 during half term. It was lovely and quiet.
The Halloween theme throughout the park was great fun and we found it relatively good value.
It would be better if each ride was clearer on how many tokens it cost, and if Adults had to pay as well to accompany the child.
One a couple 3 token rides I had to accompany my 4 year old. On one of the rides I didn't have to pay which was great, but on 2 of the rides I did, so it cost £6 effectively.
I would return.

Very expensive - you pay per ride via tokens. Some rides are four tokens each, meaning it soon mounts up. Staff don't allow adults to accompany smaller children on bigger rides without paying either. It's a money trap. Plenty of other theme parks in North West present much better value.

Really good but the rides are a bit poor, other wise very fun and enjoyed it a lot. Great picnic spots and lots of activities. Thumbs up!👍

More suitable for under 13's

✓ Our Age Range
• Group of 10, aged between 3 and 27

✓ Parking Costs
• Theme park full day parking £6*
• Private car park (across the road) full day parking £2*
• Beach/pier parking £1.10 for one hour, £4.20 for anything over 1 hour and free after 8pm

* Both car parks close at 7pm

✓ Theme Park Ride Payment System
• Entry is free. You then buy a fun card for £1 (see picture) and top it up with any amount of cash which can be used to go on rides. (I would recommend topping up just £10 to start off) Each ride costs between 1.50 and 3 pounds/tokens. If two or three people want to go on the same ride then you will need that many cards. You can't use one card on one ride for multiple people but you can use one card for different rides for multiple people

✓ Checking amount on 'Fun Card'
• Can only be done by the ride operator when paying for a ride (inconvenient)

✓ The rides
• Teacups and Saucers
• The observation wheel
• Two rollercoasters
• Grand Canyon
• Merry Go Rounds
• Dodgems (WILD!!)
• Log flume
and lots more!

✓ Theme Park Age Range
• I would say most of the rides are for 1-10 year olds and a few for 10-16. I wouldn't recommend this theme park for 16+'s

✓ Southport Beach
• The beach is a 1 minute drive away from the theme park so it makes a perfect end to the day. Pay & display parking available along the promenade

✓ Theme Park Staff
• Most of the ride operators were very friendly but some were very grumpy and gave very short rides. The friendly ones give longer rides!

✓ Facilities
• Cash machines on site
• Clean toilets with (freezing) cold water
• Disabled toilet access
• Baby changing facilities
• Town centre just round the corner

✓ Amount Spent
• We spent £17 per person on the rides (£170 in total). It could have been a lot less had we not topped up a large amount to start off with. In the end we had quite a bit leftover so we were just going on the rides to finish the money off really

✓ Summary
• A nice day out with the family

User

Super friendly staff. Great theme park for young children. 90% of the rides are either family rides or are for small children. Never have to queue for rides. Payment is by pre paid cards with 'tokens' costing £1 each. Each ride then deducts two or three 'tokens' from your card each time you ride. Most staff let adults on with young kids for free which is a really nice touch. Can take dogs if they are on a lead. They do donuts and fish n chips. You can take your own food and there are loads of picnic benches throughout the park. Gents toilets need some serious renovating but that's the only complaint.

Have to say the staff are exceptional. I have a ten year old boy who has autism. The staff were very accommodating on all rides. Our last ride was the roller coaster. My son wanted to ride on his own at first but took a shine to one of the supervisor' s (Kris), he asked him to ride with him. This guy went that extra mile. He took my son round twice giving him loads of time and understanding and got plenty of smiles from him. Exceptional people skills. I come from a fire service background and I can see genuine great professionalism in Kris. Can't rate him high enough.

Bonfire night. Huge queues for ride cards. Sparks from bonfire came right across the crowd. Left before fireworks started.

User

The park always looks clean & tidy. Prices not bad per ride. Handy prepay contactless card system for paying for rides & attractions.

User

Rides are £2-£3 in tokens and you need to buy a token card. Whatever it says the terms on the card states it only good for one season. They should make the price of the card an e-token to use towards the ride. It's doesn't feel shoddy and rundown like it did few years back and it has nice ambiance. They could make some of the rides last few minutes longer. The rides are no Blackpool pleasure Beach, some are similar to a local fair. The food thing is pay per ride rather than paying an entrance fee.

User

A big change from years ago! Now free to go in and just wander around watching the fun. Plenty of seating for older legs. You need to buy a plastic card on a lanyard which you wear around your neck with tokens (credits) on it for payment for the rides. Average price for rides, two tokens, £2. A little bit steep but the kids think it's worth it for a treat.
