We have headed over to Southport's newest Hotel, with Miss Southport 2018 to see them open for the first time. If heading to Southport for business or for a holiday, sister the Bold Hotel, located just across the road, are both situated amidst the Victorian grandeur of this unique road. Both locations offering great comfort for business or holidays, especially if you're going to one of the many world famous golf courses located along the Sefton Coastline. The Lord Street Hotel, that is located on the junction of Union Street and the A565, aka Lord Street... This new venue is in the very heart of Southport's Town Centre.

We heard a strange sound outside and spotted a chap trying to put his shoes on a pole next to our office window today. Sadly just out of view of our webcam. The pole already has 1 set of shoes on it and he appears to have wanted to add another. He has since given up his attempt... Yet another strange thing going taking place on our road this week.

Good luck to Elli Wilson is Miss Wirral 2018 at this year's Miss England Contest Part 1 of the Finals in Birmingham.
She told us:- "I'm 18 years old. Last year I held the title of Miss Liverpool City Region 2017 whilst this year, after winning the “Billion Dollar Smile” award at the Miss England Finals, which led to me competing at the Semi-Finals, I now hold the title of Miss Wirral 2018.
I have just finished studying my A-levels in geography, psychology and textiles, and I ...aspire to be a womenswear fashion designer. I am a part-time swimming teacher and a part-time model.
Over my time during the competition, I have raised over £1000 for the Miss World charity “Beauty with a Purpose.”
The experience I have had within the competition has opened up so many doors for me within the industry but also has helped me grow so much as a person. This time last year I would never have been able to do an interview or speak to someone who I didn’t know without going red or being nervous; whereas now, I can hold a conversation and stay calm in many situations and actually enjoy it.
This year in May I visited Sri Lanka with the Miss England organization. During our stay, we helped with packing relief bags to go out to those people who were affected by the floods that occurred around the time of our visit. We also visited an orphanage and a turtle sanctuary. This trip meant a lot to me as I have previously worked in over four countries rebuilding schools after a natural disaster. To help in Sri Lanka was such a heartwarming experience and I made friends for life with the team.
I would love to continue this work if I were to win the title of Miss England, and due to the Miss World competition being held in China; this would be a personal experience even more for me as I have worked out in Sichuan with orphaned children at their school.
I am so honored and excited to represent a part of Merseyside at the Miss England Final 2018."
