It is a little known fact that we have a Laser Engraver and we didn't know that it could be used to help make Face Shields. However, now we do and we have started working for the Makers Guild as a team of Laser Face Shield Makers. The collaboration is in full production with the finished Face Shields being donated to key workers but there is need for more material to allow production to continue. The link for crowd funding page ...is attached and also shows other ways you can get involved if you have any spare please feel free to donate to keep the production going. I just wanted to update you where we are with our initial call for volunteers for home deliveries. The response has been amazing thank you. Over the last week we have been in constant communication with both the HIVE and Salvation Army who have taken on this task as a service. Can I ask all of those who offered to support our initial call to arms to register at the HIVE portal for the delivery service. Link should be below.
We have now ...thrown our support in with the Salvation Army and are going to support all the mechanical work on their bikes and directly support their effort for the home deliveries.
What they are short of though is bikes for the delivery service we have offered the Shop Cargo Bike but if you do have a bike that you could lend or donate to them that would gratefully received. We can co-ordinate pick up or you can drop off at the shop (we have a protected isolation drop off zone) and then carry out safety checks and support them over the next period to ensure the vital supplies get out to the Isolated and Vulnerable.
Again thank you for the response there are some amazing people in Portsmouth.

Good Morning everyone. We hope that you are all staying safe!
Just a message to say that we are classified as an essential business and after some talks between our team we have decided we will be staying open and the workshop will be open for the foreseeable future to support your transport and exercise needs.
We of course will be reviewing this day by day and have implemented measures to comply with the government's published guidelines.

First of many Free NHS hire bikes going out yesterday, we are doing our little bit to keep the healthcare heroes moving 🙏🙏

We are really proud to announce that again we are going to lead from the front and as of Today we will be able to offer FREE (T's and C's apply) Bike, Lock and Helmet Hire to Doctors, Nurses and Key Health Workers in the City who want to avoid public transport but continue to put themselves on the line everyday!
Furthermore we will be offering FREE service labour for Doctors, Nurses, Emergency Service workers and healthcare workers to help keep you all running in this time of need!

The COVID-19 situation we are currently facing is unprecedented and concerning but it's important that we all pull together at this time.
Like all responsible businesses we have put various measures in place and we are closely following official updates and will always adapt and adhere to rulings when they are given.

Hi I own Southsea Cycles and we are planning to use our Cargo bikes to run a delivery service to those in need at this difficult time. If anybody would like to help that would be great.
