Thank you to Port Solent berth holder, Andy Lamper for this incredible footage. Taken on holiday when cruising to the Isles of Scilly; during the passage from Salcombe to Falmouth. This friendly pod of dolphins are certainly enjoying the crystal clear waters! https://www.instagram.com/p/Bk94n-8nWAq/Ō Ć”

Amazing pictures from outside of Chichester Marina at West Pole - a pod of ten dolphins have been spotted by those on-board the Hunky Dory!

Went this week with my wife for the Big breakfast. A real treat and very well priced. Excellant service and lovely staff.

User

The Indian restaurant "Bombay Bay" serves some great food and the week day fixed price menu is excellent. If you're a visiting boat owner be aware the marina lock is only open three hours each side of high tide, if your draft is more than around 1.6 m the tide will need to rise a bit before you can be sure of clearing the cill when the gate opens.

My husband walk the dog along the seafront then pop into the marine cafe for a full English breakfast which is delicious freshly cooked with locally sourced bacon and sausage. It is a lovel treat at the weekend. The dog is welcome too and she enjoys a homemade dog biscuit. Staff very friendly excellent service.

User

It's very welcoming with great facilities and a fantastic Indian Restaurant and so quiet and peaceful

User

I think it is brilliant! Not only for myself as i like to fish! But my little family love it there!!! The little cafe there is so friendly.

User

I personally prefered southsea marina to most surrounding marinas ! Found it to be a friendly warm welcoming atmosphere..... had some great times the summer ball was always the one I looked forward to :) ok may not have as many facilities as Chichester or maybe even port solent but most definitely worth a try :) gets my thumbs up :)

User

Haven't got a boat but like to go to the really nice, dog friendly MARINA BAR..Great food and coffee. Really nice staff..

Great place. Little known which is good! 2 outlets...marina bar, good pub food nice indoors and lovely to sit ouside in the sun. The bombay Bay, high quality Indian cuisine in very nice comfortable surroundings and great views. ..with a fantastic twist, they have a large outside patio where, on warm summer days you can eat all fresco overlooking the marina an harbour. ...a real treat. Absolutely recommend. ...but hope it's not invaded !!!

User

Always super helpful .Im glad I have my boat there.

User

1 st class marina and service a great place to relax either onboard or in the bar.Southsea has easy fast access to the open water. The cill gate is no problem at all.If you do miss the gate the staff will put your pride and joy away for you.I've never worried about our vessel we know its in professional hands at southsea.

User

Quite a tight entrance by boat. Suggest you try it in daylight first time around.

Premier Marina standard facilities for showering etc, (think Swanwick Marina).

Cafe was fairly basic, but very friendly with good, reasonably priced food.

User

Ideal mooring for our yacht, followed by a lovely meal in The Bombay Bay Restaurant.

User

I was taken to the Marina by my Southsea Girlfriend Yulia and thought it was lovely. A great location with fantastic views. Thank you Yulia xxxx

User

Fantastic access to The Solent, 15 to 20 minutes from leaving berth to being out in The Solent. In 3 years never found the automatic cill to be a problem as you can use the waiting pontoon just outside the marina (put the boat out before the cill closes or wait there until it opens). Being a cill not a lock means no queueing to get in or out. Only downside is the poor cleanliness of the toilets and showers. Berthing costs are reasonable.
