Southview Guest House

Absolutely excellent hotel. I really don't know where to begin - the warm welcome, the lovely and informative staff, its great central location to the town of Winderemere (literally round the corner from the train station), the lovely breakfast included with the price and, most importantly, the gorgeous well maintained rooms. Oh and a lovely piece of home-made welcomed us on our arrival! I could see this fitting pretty much everyone's criteria for visiting the Lake District and we're already planning our next visit! Plus, the pool included was awesome!

Really love this place, staff are passion, lovely and useful, breakfast are the best one I've ever eaten. Room clean and comfort, chic.

We were here at the start of September. The Guest House and our room was lovely, very clean and cosy. The room had everything you needed/wanted and nothing more or less. The pool was nice as well.
On both days the breakfasts were a little disappointing and serviced was lacking. Overall though we would stay here again.

Brilliant stay. The owners and staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Easy to find and in a brilliant location in the Lake District for fairly easy access to pretty much everywhere there. Whilst there is not a massive amount of car parking space, it is all managed extremely well so that everyone can park outside and be able to get out when needed with very little hassle. Room was lovely, plenty of space in, and the pool was a great addition to have for a nice relax after a long day out. Breakfast was perfect to set you up for the day, and all of the staff were very helpful with suggesting walks and things to do in the surrounding area. Plenty of lovely restaurants and pubs within very easy walking range of the Guest House too for lots of options of an evening meal, and the fact the Guest House has its own bar in as well is also very handy. And they have a very friendly cat! Brilliant stay, highly recommended, and will definitely be going back here again.

Katie and Barry were excellent hosts and justifiably proud of their business.The room was superb and having access to a bar and pool (though not necessarily in that order!) was a real bonus.Their local knowledge and expertise ensured we were able to find lots to see and do.Looking forward to next visit
