Spa Cycles

I bought a saddle off Spa Cycles 2 years ago (a Nidd) - it is brilliant. It took a bit of breaking in but it's a work of art. If my bike gets nicked - it's this saddle that I'll be gutted to lose! I have a Brookes on another bike and it's not a patch on the Spa Cycle saddle. Moreover, a tension bolt fell off after about 9,000 miles (my fault, I didn't tighten it up) and the lad at Spa Cycles popped a new one in the post free of charge. No fuss. No bother. Quality product. Proper service.

You'd better hope you never have to make a warranty claim through Spa Cycles. I had a terrible experience. I received no replacement of the faulty product I sent back nor a refund. They will ignore your emails for weeks if not months at a time despite multiple chasers. My last chased email was completely ignored. I gave up in the end. The £130 wasn't worth the effort.

Got my bike online from Spa. I dealt with Sam who was very helpful through the whole purchase and all the emails I sent with various questions! Bike arrived within a week or so of ordering and it rides like a dream. I got the Spa Audax Steel and its a great bike and a really great price for the spec. I would recommend them highly and they also stock some really nice accessories.

After being let down by another supplier, I contacted Spa to enqire about a Surly frame. They had one in stock and managed to despatch the same day, very pleased with the service I received.

I recently collected my Ti Audax from Spa. When I went up to try out the bikes, which I loved, and to agree a build, everything that I wanted was made available, even the rims from a bike on display which meant the wheel buiilder had to strip them off that bike to put them on mine. Staff were all friendly and helpful and I ended up with exactly the sort of machine I wanted and had dreamt of.
The only caveat I have is that, in advance of my first visit, it would have helped a lot to have been informed of the build options that were going to be made available to me. That would have let me take advice from friends as well as do appropriate research. As it was, I was a bit flummoxed to be suddenly making decisions about things that I, in some cases, knew little of.
Nonetheless, it was a great experience and has resulted in a bike which I can build on if I wish, and of which I am rightly proud.

Bought some Carradice bags from Spa to be shipped to the US. Great service from Spa Cycles! They were very responsive by email; fast shipping; accurate delivery of goods. Highly recommended and I will buy from them again.
