This was my first time at Space Lectures and did not know what to expect.
All I can say is what a great experience to meet the Kelly brothers and what a great lecture they gave. Great crowd of people, very welcoming and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely well worth the money and will be coming back for more Space lectures in the future. When done to Ken and the team for organising the great event.
The first Space Lecture event I attended was Charlie Duke in 2012, and I have not missed an event since then. Thanks to this great organization I have listened to many interesting talks, shaken hands with, and had photographs taken with 7 astronauts so far. The events are always very well organised. I personally think Ken Willoughby deserves a knighthood for his hard work and efforts to get these iconic people to come to the UK and share their experiences with us.
Thank you all for a great weekend. A very nice dinner and a fantastic lecture. That Swedish engineer and former fire fighter with the strange name will be back, but not every time, since I spent 32 hours travelling back and forth. And finally the quote of the day: âThe most stressful moments in my career were making night carrier landings in bad weather with low fuel on board. It really gets your attention!â (Bruce McCandless, the one and only)
Space Lectures run extremely well organised events bringing to the UK people who have done amazing things in space giving the opportunity of a life time to meet and hear talks about their experiences. I could not recommend Space Lectures enough and look forward to meeting more exceptional people in the years to come!

It's my first visit to Space Lectures to attend SCOTT ALTMAN 's event, I've enjoyed every moment of it and like to say many thanks to the organisers to making this event a successful day for us all, very warming welcome by the organisers, 5 star rating and I will attend again in the near future ďż˝
I've been suggesting to Ken that he get Bruce McCandless as a guest speaker for some time. It finally happened, and I wasn't disappointed. 45mins lecture and a 30 min Q&A, preceeded by an hour or so of photographs, and followed by an hour or so of autographs is tough enough. At 80 yrs old, and still sharp, it proves to me that NASA picked the right guys. An honour and a priviledge to meet a legend of space exploration. Thankyou to Ken and the team.
I have been to 6 events so far. The organisation is almost faultless. The Space Lectures team, ably led by Ken Willoughby, are friendly and emthusiastic. The school theatre is a good venue.
The talks themselves are always fascinating. As a life-long fan of anything space related the opportunity to meet my heroes in person is just awesome.
When is the next one?
I cannot thank Space Lectures enough for their great work in managing to bring over the very best Astronaut guests. Ken and his team of volunteers focus on delivering a superb experience at these 'not for profit' events with a great quality lecture, photo opportunity and signing. The education and outreach initiatives serve as an inspiration to the younger community and I wish this was something I had those many years ago. Keep up the superb work!
Cannot recommend enough! Out of this world
Brilliant people,real space enthusiasts,superb events.
Another fantastic day was had at Pontefract, The Kelly brothers were on top form and didn't disappoint. Nice to meet up with some old friends and a massive thank you to Ken and his gang...see you in April..
