Another wonderful donation has arrived. This time its from St Joseph's Park Hill School This brings a busy, but amazing day to a close Spacious Place Food Bank We will be back in action tomorrow, as we continue to distribute food to needy families in our town. #CommunityChristmas

It's already looking like a busy day in the Spacious Place Food Bank Our first donation of the day has come from Casterton Primary School The children brought in some beautifully wrapped shoe boxes, full of Christmas treats. Huge thanks to the players, parents and coaches of Rosegrove Football Club who called into Spacious Place Food Bank today with the food items that they have kindly collected for us. They were closely followed by TRW Engineering with another generous donation. Our town is amazing! #CommunityChristmas

The week before Christmas, is always very humbling, with so many schools, charities and individuals kindly donating food and festive treats to us. What a fantastic morning with Year 5 from St John's Primary! The class from the Cliviger school have been collecting food to support our Christmas deliveries and today they helped us to pack the items, that they have kindly donated. The class even had time to have a look around SPE Furnishings, to see how our furniture sales support the food bank. Sorry to the parents who may now find a new pink bed on the Christmas list! #CommunitySchool

Thank you so much Burnley Campus Without generous support such as this, we really would not be able to function. The benefit to local families, especially at this time of year is huge. REVERSE ADVENT is nearly here and there is still time to sign up to support our Food Bank this Christmas.
Thanks to those who have already committed to help. We will be taking donations until Saturday 22nd December at SPE Furnishings on Briercliffe Road in Burnley. Just call in anytime between 9:00am and 4:00pm. If you are coming as a larger group or school please do let us know before you plan to drop off.
If you want to take the collection right up to the big day, we reopen on 27th December and will have a delivery going out that day.

After the success of last year's REVERSE ADVENT we are going go again this year, to collect much needed items for our Christmas and New Year food parcels.
Simply collect an item of food each day when you open your advent calendar and on completion drop them off with us, to distribute locally. Great for individuals, school classes, work places, sports teams, all scout and guide groups and any community organisations. You don't even need an advent calendar to take part!!!
A li...ttle goes along way. 100 participants would give us 2500 items of food to help local people this Christmas. We have added a handy guide of the food we require to help out.

Today we met the year 5 pupils at St John's Primary in Cliviger. The class are supporting Spacious Place Food Bank over the next school year and tomorrow they are delivering their assembly about us to the rest of the school. Dave Scholes survived a pretty gruelling Q&A with the class, who know more about us than we do! Good luck tomorrow, you will be brilliant.

I work for a Women's charity in Burnley and have arranged a couple of food parcels for clients this week and have been extremely impressed with the service, efficiency and quickness of delivery. I have seen first hand how much of an impact your service has had on the clients that I work with, some of who have been through very difficult times/are vulnerable. Thank you so much for all that you do. And I will be making a donation of food very soon, along with a couple of other people.
