FINANCIAL FREEDOM
The word freedom conjures up the image of someone who is not bound up in chains or shackled up. It means that one is free to do as one pleases
Financial Freedom is when one is free of money worries.
... The question is can this freedom come accidentally or does it happen via a deliberate action on our part
If somebody’s lawyer was to call you up today and inform you that you’ve inherited £1 million then that is accidental
However if you sat down and set yourself a goal as to how you are going to hit your first £1 million then that’s intentional
Wether it will involve a plan to play the national lottery or simply start your own Business or even make highly profitable investments financial freedom will not happen by accident for the majority of people
I was chatting with a friend the other day and he was lamenting the fact that although he has handled enormous amounts of money he is still not financially free
I told him that he is a high networth individual (HNI) and that he needs to change his mindset and start setting himself financial goals in order to be truly financially free
This came as a total shock to the gentleman in question and I know that something has been stirred up in him

THE 3 P’s OF LEADERSHIP
Most of us have a notion of what is meant by leadership. For some it means being in control, for some it’s about inspiring others and for others it’s about commitment to service.
Whatever our assumption might be there’s a general confusion about the subject matter of leadership. This is centred around the failure to distinguish between the principles and process of leadership and the person of the leader.
... The principles are the rules underlining the subject matter of leadership. The process are the actions or steps or the tasks involved in leading. Finally person pertains to the personality or character of the leader
As we can see all three are distinctly different and a deeper study of all of them can clear some of the misunderstanding.

When creating a mission and a vision statement it is useful to know the difference between the two as there’s much confusion about their meanings.
The mission statement describes the goods or services that the organisation is currently providing and the markets that it serves e.g ABC Ltd developes and makes smart phones and technology products in the UK and the rest of the world.
The vision statement on the other hand describes what the organisation would like to be in futur...e or dreams of becoming e.g. ABC Ltd would like to be the foremost developer and manufacture of technology products for modern day living world wide.

The vision statement is one of the most effective ways in which a company or organisation can communicate it’s main objective to it’s customers and the world at large
It defines what the company or organisation would like to be in the future rather than what it is presently
The top management of most large corporations spend millions of pounds and dollars on drafting their vision statement. This is proof if one is needed that the statement is an important document in shaping... the future of these corporations
In some cases the end result doesn’t reflect the amount of money spent on the document. Some statements are less than 30 words long while some are as few as 10 words
In the examples above I’ve shown examples of statements by both commercial and charitable organisations
Most small to medium businesses don’t even bother to draft up a vision statement because they think it’s not for them.
We shouldn’t despise the days of humble beginnings because a small acorn can grow into a giant oak tree.

This is probably one of the most powerful mission statements I’ve come across. It is concise and straight to the point in the way it manages to capture all the company’s product offerings.
It also tells us that this is a revolutionary and ambitious company that wants to be the leader of the pack in it’s industry sector.
Simply priceless !
... Why not try and write you own business Mission Statement and give it pride of place in your reception area or boardroom

The Break-Even Point is an important concept that every Business person should be aware of. It is the point at which the gain we make on what we sell equals the Business overhead expenses. At the Break-Even Point the Business neither makes a loss nor gain but merely stays afloat.
