Special Olympics West Midlands Ski Group

The Special Olympics West Midlands Ski Group welcomes all potential athletes and volunteers to come along to the group and see what we are all about.

In addition to the sessions in Birmingham, we go for a week Skiing in Italy each January and have a weekend at Hemel Hempstead each summer.

We host the West Midlands Special Olympics Open Ski Championship each October, with competitors taking part from England, Scotland and Wales. As a group, we also travel to other competitions around the UK.

In January 2012 our group organised the Special Olympics Great Britain National Championships which took place in Pila, Italy. We look forwards to attending the next national championships.

In addition to training, we also enjoy organising regular social events.
