#Repost @lyndseycassie гғ»гғ»гғ» Still on a high after winning my AG at Ironman 70.3 Dubai рҹҳҒрҹҘҮ. I honestly went into this race - my 2nd tri and 1st half IM - with the primary goal of finishing in one piece, especially after 5 weeks off running due to injury and breaking my bloody toe 2 days before the race (FML рҹҷ„). I was so nervous at the start line, I nearl...y dropped out. But all the hours of training had to pay off somehow, and a 1.9k swim, 90k bike, and 21.1k run (in the baking heat рҹ”ҘрҹӨў) later, I was crossing the finish line to take the AG win. Made extra special by having my wonderful mum and auntie at the sidelines рҹ’•.First in my AG, 2nd amateur female, and 9th female overall (incl. pros), qualifying for IM 70.3 World Champs in Nice later this year рҹҳ¬ рҹҮ«рҹҮ· - - Thanks to all the awesome people in my life for rooting for me every step of the way, especially to my EPIC coach @svb_tri , no.1 Third Space London PT Jack Ottey, and Wattbike legend @spinmonk for getting me ready for this in just a few months рҹ’ӘрҹҸј. Little & Large!! M вқҺрҹҳЈXL вң…рҹҳғ . A great story from last year when Ben came to see me after buying a PX Stealth from Ebay and wanted a fit. When I first met Ben you could see he was a tall dude about 6вҖҷ4вҖқ and the bike he wheeled in looked noticeably too small for him. It had been sold online as a size Large, but after initial measurements we found out it was a Medium ... so def way to small especially with quite a low stack. We then got Ben on the Retul MUVE fitbike where we coul...d find the best size TT bike for him as heвҖҷd decided he was going to try to get a refund on this bike. What happened next was such a great bit of luck!! рҹ§ҷвҖҚвҷӮпёҸвҳҳпёҸвңЁ . . Result 1: Ben messaged me a couple of hours later and said the seller would refund him as heвҖҷd sold it to him as a Large when it was a medium. рҹ‘ҚрҹҸ»рҹ‘ҚрҹҸ»рҹ‘ҚрҹҸ» . Then we had several messages as Ben sent me different options of bikes he was looking at ... until ... . Result 2: He found the same bike (PX stealth) on EBay as a size XL!! рҹҳғ We could make this one work with some extra riser pedestals under the aerobar pads рҹҳҺ . Ben came back a week or so later when the new bike had arrived and we finished the fit. I love stories like this when a bit of luck is involved as you donвҖҷt want to stuck with the wrong size bike. . Swipe в¬…пёҸв¬…пёҸв¬…пёҸ to see the other images, but youвҖҷll see the difference between the XL (top) and M (bottom) in the split picture. Moral of the story ...
