Apologies for the lack of posts and content recently, it has been holiday time here at Spoox Motorsport LTD - with that now out of the way we return to full staff this Monday and things can now return to normal ! As a result of staff holidays we missed Round 3 of Time Attack Championship at Oulton Park which was a shame. We had to send Andy York as our solo entry. Andy drove a great couple of sessions putting him in with the chance of a podium, he also took a new PB before an alternator belt failure caused a frustrating and very rare early retirement. We will continue to push forward as a team with Andy and his superb Peugeot 205 GTI which is mixing it with the quickest FWD cars in the UK. Andy has come such a long way since he began competing 4 years ago and there is so much more to come from him !! The future is very exciting !!!

Another star performance from John Moxham as he contested the WSCC Blyton Sprint Weekend on 12th & 13th July at Blyton Park. During the debrief with John following the event he said : "The car is pulling well engine wise with the power now at 6k plus - it's such a glorious sound on the open webers, but the real gain is in your department ! The brakes are just awesome - to think you reduced the caliper's and disc's back to standard size, the big change is the choice and bala...nce of pads - that brake prep you completed works no end. I did 7 runs on Saturday and 8 runs on Sunday on different layouts and the fastest each day was my last run - I was just building confidence every time - honestly I know if I was there this weekend I would be quicker again because I still have yet to find the absolute limit - but that will come with time ! For the first time in a long while I feel as though I have total confidence not just in the car but me also"
Once again since we implemented the second phase of upgrades to Johns Peugeot 205 GTI he smashed his PB's once more taking second place on the Saturday event and first place on the Sunday. We will continue to work with John to develop his car, and we are confident that he will continue to improve his PB's even further. Well done once again Mr Moxham from all at Spoox Motorsport LTD

Following two long years (including a year of testing) we will soon be able to offer ceramic wheel bearings for the Peugeot 205 , 206 , 309 , 306 , 405 , 406. We have two customers currently testing the 106 / Saxo variants for us as our 106 is still in build. The drag reduction and lower temperatures over steel ball bearings have been significant and a huge enhancement when tested back to back. Terminal speeds have been up, acceleration improved and lap times reduced. We hope to have some stock assembled with the next month or so. Prices will also be finalised shortly 👍

We would like to welcome another well known Peugeot 205 GTI to the Spoox Motorsport LTD family for 2019. John Moxham has been sprinting his Peugeot 205 GTI for many years and first came to us at the end of 2018 for a fairly minor issue which we diagnosed quickly and resolved while John waited with a cup of coffee. Following his initial visit John contacted us again for some help and ideas and we were able to present a well documented set of developments based on what we saw o...n his first visit which we could confidently say would improve the car.'s performance We did some more research into John's driving style and presented him with an itemised program of improvements which we would roll out during 2019 in a staged program to ensure John adjusted well to each stage. John has now delivered the car back to us for the 1st 2 stages of our development program and we are extremely pleased with the results. John has gelled with the car just as we had hoped that he would and done a fantastic job taking wins in all events entered so far in 2019 and improved his PB's in most cases as well. The future is now bright for this well known driver & car and we are very proud to be part of the success that follows. On June 2nd 2019 we returned to MotoFest Coventry for another crack at the MSA sanctioned closed road Sprint Event. Here is a short film of the day from our perspective. We finished a respectable 6th overall (1st FWD car home) from a quality field.

Another successful outing for car 13 at Time Attack Championship Rnd 2 - Brands Hatch. We managed a win in Qualifying and a Second Place in the final - taking a new PB on the way. Track time was massively comprimised by red flags - the worst Pro sessions we have ever been part of. However a great result for the team we finally improved our PB at Brands Hatch after a 2 year break - it wasnt much but we'll take it ! A massive thank you to the whole team for not putting a foot wrong all day and engineering the car to the achieve the times.

Time Attack Championship is LIVE tomorrow from Brands Hatch ! Tune in it’s going to be a good one !!!

It was great to see some of our fellow Time Attack Championship competitors competing against us at MotoFest Coventry today. We are slightly disappointed to bring our Peugeot 205 GTI home in 6th overall today with a finishing time of 80.55 from the 67 finishers today. We took the car straight from its Cadwell Park first Round win making no changes to adapt it for sprinting due to time constraints. It was however great to see Geoff Kershaw bring his Turbo Technics Ford Focus h...ome in a great time of 85.94 which was enough for 19th overall. It was also a good effort from Luke Clayton who brought the Roger Clark Motorsport Bentley Continental GT3 home in 20th place overall with a days best time of 86:00. The always smiling faces of the Giovanazzo brothers who were dual driving there Alfa came home in 62nd & 64th place overall as well. It was great too see some familiar faces competing in a different format. Well done boys ! A good days sport was had by all. Thank you MotoFest Coventry for another great event.

A rare glimpse into our world ! This is our mainstream workshop which services on average anywhere between 10 - 20 conventional jobs per working week. Car 13 is out this Sunday 2nd of June so has found itself brought in for a nut and bolt check. Behind the roller shutters over to the right are our 3 major job bays where the larger long term jobs are situated. These remain occupied at all times with bookings already in place into 2020. Out of sight to the left is our in house ...machine shop where 100% of our products start their lives as prototypes. The far right corner garages are home to a large new parts store, charging stations and all our workshop consumables such as paints, lubricants etc. Up above is our offices which spread the length of the unit block. Our online sales team, director, admin, technical manager and shipping teams operate from the offices above, as well our newly refurbished meeting room, packaging stations and despatch area. Our used parts facility is now ran from another much larger site locally which also houses our shuttles, trailers and bodyshell stores. It’s been 10 years since we updated our current layout - so we felt it was a little overdue.

Well after 6 months of hard graft and total dedication to making another customers dreams a reality we have just delivered this stunning Peugeot 309 GTI back to our customer delivering a conservative and very reliable 325bhp from one of our low boost supercharged XU10J4RS engines. We are very lucky and extremely grateful to be able to work on lovely examples of Peugeot’s classic GTI range day in day out. It’s back to a workshop full of race cars now for a few weeks until the next long term projects arrive.
