We're always out and about watching and taking part in various sports as well as supporting our clients and athletes at their clubs, matches and events. So it was a bit of a wake up call this week to learn that skin cancer is the UK's most common and fastest growing form of cancer. More people in the UK die from melanoma than in Australia. This might be beca...use Australians have taken seriously the message that 86% of cases of melanoma are preventable! If caught early it's often highly treatable, so it's also important that your therapist is trained to identify potentially serious skin changes that should be checked by a health professional. As we often spend a lot of time treating hard to see areas like backs and shoulders, we thought it was a great idea to complete the MASCED melanoma and skin cancer early detection accreditation and we're going to look at getting some information up at the gym. ****Did Not Attend**** In the last couple of weeks we have had a few appointments cancelled at the last minute or the person simply didn't turn up. As a small business these appointments cost us money as we still have to pay a room fee whether you attend or not. This is why we ask that you give us 48hrs notice where possible and do our therapists and our other clients the courtesy of letting us know you no longer need that session. We know life gets in the way sometimes, which is why we have always tried our best to accommodate any changes without passing on theses costs but we will be applying the £5 fee (less than 48hrs) more rigorously from September.
