A nice, big and well laid out store but didn't stock everything I needed for boxing. Would've had to order online instead

Today I visited that store with my 14months old daughter and when I choose a pair of shoes for her I asked one elderly man from the staff to help me with the size,because she needed a bigger one.That which is happened is really inadmissible he start to explain me how big mistake I do,because she is very little to wear shoes (she was walking all the time around us)we don't need them,this is not correct and etc,I told him couple of times that I am the person who take desicion,but he didn't stopt and even twice told me that I can't buy them!Unbelievable I want to buy a shoes and I can't because he is not agree with that.In the end I told him that I still want to buy and will take them anyway. In that moment he get really angry and gave them to the guy from pay-desc and told him on high tone No refund or exchange for this lady.I was so shocked,the guy from pay desc apologise me and told me don't know what is wrong with him.My daughter start crying from all those conversations,half an hour we cannot get out of the shop,so I took finnaly this special trainers and went home really upset and unhappy from shopping there.How inadmissible is that!

Some basic training in how to answer a telephone would be useful. What to do if the device starts ringing - don't run away, it won't bite. I'd be happy to do this myself, my rates are very reasonable.

Sports Direct is a good place to shop for casual clothes and items such as sports related. A lot of the merchandise is reduced so you can pick up many a bargain. Excellent place to buy trainers and other types of footwear. Would definitely recommend this shop for a good shopping experience as in the branches I have visited the staff have been helpful and friendly.

Went here today and purchased a pair of tennis trainers. Had a price on the box (which is what I expected to pay) and a higher price when scanned at the till. Apparently their stock room has different prices to the shop floor and the higher price was correct. I'm sure Trading standards will be very interested in hearing this.

Bought a football shirt asking for a name and number went and picked it up this morning "wrong number" asked for 10 got 9 didn't have correct letters for the name asked, it was a 135 min round trip not happy they don't answer the phone ide go else where if I was you! I know I will be from now on useless

I ordered a pair of shoes online and returned them to this store (to avoid paying for postage) without any hassle whatsoever. I explained why I was not happy and upon inspection of the one faulty shoe by the very helpful member of staff (I did not catch his name unfortunately) he agreed that it was unacceptable to send out a shoe like that. The shoe must have been a display model, because it was severely discoloured and looked worn and of poor quality. I was gutted to learn that they did not have those shoes in stock so I was given the choice of a credit note or refund; I opted for the refund.

I do not understand why this store is getting so many bad reviews. I was being treated with respect by each and every member of staff I came in contact with yesterday, and there definitely is enough staff around. I suppose it is a case of 'As the question, so the answer.' with some of the people leaving bad reviews.

They never pick up the phone!!! Grrrr

Went to this store at lunchtime to buy some football boots. There were no staff around to assist me and when I tried to find someone to help me they all seemed to disappear. Waited for around 15 minutes then got feed up and left. Went back after work and pretty much the same thing happened, there were lots of people waiting for assistance whilst the staff just seemed to be walking around disinterested. After wasting another 15 minutes waiting I left the store.
