Sports Direct

The worst sports shop I have ever had the misfortune of entering. The interiors are dark and dingy and the staff come with attitude. I wanted some items for my son and asked for assistance. The first response was an indifferent "it's downstairs". When I went downstairs and spoke to an assistant she looked at me as if I was asking her to do the London marathon. She sneered, raised an eyebrow and made a face. All I wanted was a good quality basketball. My Dad did warn me not to go there as he could not get any help when trying to buy some swimming gear. He felt that they were disinterested owing to his age. I think they were just plain disinterested.

Guess the phone number is not valid anymore, I've been trying to call them for days but no answer, beyond that I have always had a good experience in that shop. Hope they will put the shop's new number here soon

It's sports direct need I say more. I. E you get what you pay for its a cheap sports outlet, so meaning cheap staff and management that look on the place as a stepping stone nothing more, if you want the full sporting experience try the Nike or reebok, adiddas etc shops you won't be disappointed

This shop is very cheap and it is more like an outlet than a proper shop.
Great prices on ever green shoes and sport things. Always get great deals , I really recommend it.

Went there at 9am (which is their official opening time) to buy a football for someone birthday and there were close. A Member of staff came to open the door to one of his friend I tried to come in aswell he said were close I was talking to him he just turned his back on me quiet rudely and went couldn't get the present I had to buy from there as there were still closed half an hour later. Unfriendly staff. Not cheap service. Not good quality

Waste of time. This chain store won't last. Old junk and counterfeit stock. Marked up and then back down to its original RRP to fool you into thinking you get a bargain. Won't accept returns. Staff have no product knowledge and wouldn't care to help you if they did. Do yourself a favour and buy the same junk from China on eBay for a tiny fraction of the cost without leaving the house. At least eBay have a money back guarantee.

Very hard to get an employees attention . Me and my mum were in there for about an hour and half waiting for somebody to help us find what we were looking for

Lots of discounted and decent sports clothes and equipment, I like the upstairs area more

I had a very bad experience at this store.
I was looking for specific tights in a specific brand, I came to speak with an employee who couldn't really help me, he called a woman who basically told me that what I was looking for was " there in the right corner " shaking her arm in a direction, barely acknowledging me. I was already a little shocked and felt that I was bothering her asking this simple question. I went then to this specific corner and couldn't find it. I came back to the woman, who AGAIN showed me a direction and even clearly seemed annoyed this time by me asking her for help. I told her that obviously I didn't find what I was looking for and her answer was that they didn't have a lot of articles with this brand and that I wouldn't find my tights anyways.
I couldnt believe that she wouldn't take 5minutes to come and look with me, or even just show me the section with the brand.
I will never come back to this store, I'd rather go a longer way to an other one.
The security person was on the other hand very helpful and nice, he tried to get me to speak to the manager, but she was very busy and i didn't want to wait too long.
