Sports Direct Watford - Waterfields

Overall it is a great store and there are many options of clothing to choose from which is very nice. But the management at sports direct especially by the name of 'Kevin' is a total douchebag. I brought a couple clothes from sports direct and when I went home to try them on I wasn't satisfied so I decided to go back the very next day to return, employee was happy to take the items back until the manager Kevin decided to step in and decided to cancel it off as it had been worn. Clothing had no sign of use, literally no general wear whatsoever, it was basically brand new! I was approached by another manager from a different apartment who said nothing was wrong with the clothing and he would have accepted to take it back but couldn't do anything because he worked in a different department. He also left a side note, "Kevin is a prick".

I have to give high praise of 5 stars to a wonderful cashier/saleswoman Jennifer who was absolutely professional and very sweet!
I came in to pick up trainers, which I bought online.
The clueless Cashier 1 said: "Nah. Computer said nah..." in a kind of a stupor.
So I thanked her, then walked away to browse the cycling section.
Cashier 2 - Jennifer approached me and said: "I will check if your order is here". As I followed her back to her register, she produced my new trainers.
Yeepee!
Aha! The noname clueless Cashier 1 did not have the intellectual capacity to understand my simple request.
But Jennifer, who stood a few feet away, helping her customers (with a cashier 3/register in between us), overheard my unfruitful exchange and decided to act. I was impressed!

The service in this branch is spotty and iffy unless you are lucky to run into an intelligent person like Jennifer.

I think it is well stocked but if you do not see many brands, there is their website shop and Robinson's for horsey stuff.
Their manager, a fast talking loud black man was arrogant, obnoxious and condenscending. Ok, mister Manager, as I shop mostly online (Amazon), where I don't have to face clueless staff or obnoxious managers...you do the math: what is your job's worth?
Bad attitude in any business gets you OUT of that business. If your customers get pissed off, prepare to brush up on your cv/interview techniques as you will be OUT of a job. I rest my case.

good place if you know what you want to buy. cheap and good selection of everything all major sports covered

I turned up with my son to buy some football boots and it was quite busy... I noticed that some man was standing there in a Nike tracksuit and he was just there talking to workers. Turns out this gentleman, Luke, came in on his day off and helped out of his own accord. He hadn't been paid or asked to do it he just done it, he provided myself and many others with amazing customer service. And he wasn't paid a penny. An absolute asset to the company!
This store is always being judged for having shoddy workers, but now they don't!

I dont knot what is going on in that shop but waiting time to try on shoes is ridiculous. First of all i had to look for someone available just to hear "sorry but give us few minutes to organise ourselves" then once someone was "organised" to take the order from me no one seems to be listening on the other side of the radio!!! People was coming and going happy with their choice but i was kept waiting for god knows what. After 30minutes of waiting they couldn't give me an answer how much longer i have to wait so i left the shop furiously mad!!! Never again!!!

It has a wide selection of sports clothing and trainer's and the prices are competitive. However, they have no foot measuring device, considering the size it just not acceptable especially when buying for children! The service is non existent , it's just not an enjoyable experience. I would only shop there when needs must! Would always try online retailers first.
