Welcome to Spotlight Dance Academy offering tuition in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Freestyle Disco and Lyrical in South Shields.

Spotlight Dance Academy is a vibrant local dance school offering tuition in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Freestyle Disco, Lyrical and Contemporary Dance. Catering for all age ranges from tiny tots to teens and adults, we welcome everyone from complete beginners to the more advanced.

Our aim is to offer any child who is interested in dance the opportunity to learn and develop in a fun, social environment, with emphasis on gaining skills and knowledge within all techniques to examination standard.

Principle, Amanda Beaton, has been dancing from the tender age of 5, training for 11 years under the NCDTA syllabus continuing on to gain a BTEC National Diploma in Dance and a BA Honours in Contemporary Dance at Newcastle College and is fully qualified under the UKA syllabus and a member of the Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association.

Our teachers are fully DBS checked and hold current Paediatric First Aid certificates.

Our studios are based at Trinity House, South Shields where we have excellent facilities including spacious studios, music systems and a canteen area.
