Sorry but all 42 evening places for Spring/Summer 2019 have been taken by existing club members transferring from weekend classes. We will not therefore be able to start a beginners evening group in April this year.
It is possible that one or two spaces may become available if dogs have to withdraw so if you are interested in joining a class please do get in touch and I can add you to the mailing list. (All places are filled from the mailing list so please don't wait for us to post places on here!).

We are is delighted to announce that our purpose-built all-weather dog agility arena is now open! Situated in beautiful countryside just 5 minutes from Basingstoke town centre, it has been tested over the past couple of weeks by the 80+ dogs who regularly attend classes at the club including cocker spaniels, cockapoos, labradors, collies, golden retrievers and many other breeds!
We run classes on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday daytimes... and at weekends in the Autumn/Winter months and weekday evenings in the Spring/Summer months. Although all our classes are currently full we are planning to start a couple of new daytime classes in the next few weeks and have occasional spaces become available in other classes.
Please message us or comment below if you are interested in joining us :)

Agility Club Class or Fun Class?
Many people don’t realise that there are two very different types of dog agility class – “fun agility classes” and “dog agility club classes” – and they generally teach very different types of dog agility!
So before you sign up for an agility class make sure you know what type of class you want to do!

Dog Agility ... Getting Started!
Seen dog agility on TV or on social media and want to have a go?
Then make sure you put your name down to join a DOG AGILITY CLUB where you will usually be instructed by experienced competitors who know how to get dogs to run at their top speed and can teach you how to handle your dog around all types of agility courses. At these clubs your dog will be taught how to complete obstacles independently while you get yourself into position f...or the next part of the course.
Most dogs who go to weekly classes at dog agility clubs don't compete... and never will... they just enjoy learning agility skills and running as fast as they possibly can! Those that do choose to compete are usually those that never intended to (!) which is one reason why agility clubs train all dogs to competition standards.
Dog agility clubs are very popular... so maybe it is not surprising that some people choose to do "fun agility" with a local dog trainer... but unfortunately when they get "bitten by the agility bug" and join an agility club they then find they have to start from the beginning again as the training methods are so different.
We currently have almost 40 dogs waiting to join Spring into Action Dog Agility Club. If you are one of them and can't wait any longer to get started then do make sure that the classes you choose are with another dog agility club run by an instructor who is also an experienced competitor :)

Class Places - Experienced Dogs
As many agility clubs teach agility in a completely different way it is not always easy to accommodate dogs who have started their agility training at another club.
If your dog has been training for less then six months they will need to start again in one of our beginners classes.
... If they have done more than six months training please email or message us with details of the club where you have trained before (as this will help us assess which methods will have been used) and what equipment your dog can complete without your help. It is also useful to know whether your dog has been taught to stop on the end of contacts. :)

Cuby really enjoys our agility classes despite the short comings of her handler. Sally is very understanding although not slow in telling you why you are messing up, funny how it's always & never Cuby.
