Spring Valley Campsite Description
Set in over 3 acres of idylic countryside with a 1 acre lake, Spring Valley Campsite and dog friendly holidiy lets is the nearest camping site you will find to the Hull City of Culture 2017, with easy access to Hull by car (15 minutes) or bus with your very own bus stop at Spring Valley gates direct into Hull. The ferry terminals are 10 minutes by car and easy accessible.
Hull offers an array of shops, restaurants and museums. The Deep aquarium is less than 15 minutes drive away, while the Kcom Stadium is less then 25 minutes drive, and the Kcom Craven Park is less than 10 minutes away by car. The east coast beaches are less than 25 minutes away by car while the convenience /post office shops and food pubs are just 1 mile away.
Each modern dog friendly holiday let at Spring Valley features a flat-screen TV with a shower room, living room, fully self contained kitchen and two bedrooms

Each camping pitch at Spring Valley is (9m x 9m) and has a total of 15 hardstanding and 10 grass pitches, all with electric hook-ups, and free WiFi for caravans, motorhomes camper vans and tents. Scattered around the site are drinking water taps, a chemical disposal point, pot wash, dry /general waste disposal points. Guests can enjoy clubhouse, bar open daily, tea room and fresh cooked food from tuesday to sunday bingo at weekends, pool table, karaoke and more. During the day the kids might also like to pop across to the resident rescued turkeys and chicken enclosure, or wildlife surrounding the pond.
If you want a relaxing and peaceful holiday retreat or just a stop gap whilst visiting friends or work, Spring Valley Campsite is the ideal place for Hull the ferry and docks and stadiums too.

Week 5 on the new clubhouse/reception build!
Busy day today with a clean up after all the wind and rain we had last night, this didn’t stop J C Joiners and Burnie Durkin Roofers of course finishing the batting, felting and boarding ready for the tiles and fibre glass tomorrow. 😁
Yes it’s Sunday! No rest for us at Spring Valley Campsite!!
Thanks to the Burnie Durkin Roofers who knew the urgency of making us water tight and worked today, followed by the 3700 tiles arriving tomorrow. 😵
It’s quiz time
BON FIRE NIGHT STARTS AT 7PM (SAT 3RD NOV) Pie, peas, fireworks and bonfire now ready for tomorrow night (Sat 3rd Nov) here at Spring Valley Campsite. There are a few pitches left if you fancy joining us or just come as guests.

Day 8 Main trusses all up, opening knocked out to the reception from the wash room. Can’t get the labour nowadays so found a willing helper who gets paid in biscuits 😬 who actually ended up supervising. 👍

We are all decorated and ready for all you scary looking guests to arrive. Although there is a couple of pitches still available, visitors and friends of guests are welcome to come just for the Saturday evening without a caravan. Day 5/6. It’s been a quiet week on the build, joiners in London so time for external block work and electrical channels. Today was all about erecting the final steels. Thank you to Toby Gail Marrow Bradley for lending us the genies - LIFE SAVER because hiring a crane in this wind is a no go 😩😄
It’s the lady who does a fantastic job on the cleaning of the shower blocks the one and only Jacqueline Zahra Thorpe , whose birthday it is this weekend. So we’d thought we would take her to somewhere she’s always wanted to go - Hull fair. She came home with some liquorice for Nick Thorpe, plenty of fun and food for thought after she had her fortune told 🙃😋

Well today we will see Jacqueline Zahra Thorpe and Nick Thorpe coming back to their second home from Malta for two weeks, staying in one of the holiday lets.
This trip was planned to Spring Valley for Jacquelines birthday next week, and where better to come! Safe journey and we will see you this afternoon ❤️

Well, what can I say? We have just had a fantastic 2 weeks here. We booked for a week, and loved it so much we extended our stay. We are actually locals, and we were carrying on life as normal, going to work each day, but we just wanted to camp while there was still some summer left. We have already decided we will be coming back next year, hopefully more than once throughout the summer months. We had a couple of picnics down by the lake watching the sun go down. We also had a view of the sunsets from the front of our tent which was pitched with its back facing Sproatley Rd. The shower facilities were exceptionally clean and obviously new. The chickens etc (not sure what they all were - including a turkey and guinea fowl, I think....) were good company and formed a welcoming committee for us most days as we drove on to the site. The owners were very present, making sure that everything was as it should be, particularly over the bank holiday (busy) weekend, and offered us help in moving our tent for the second week. We also befriended their cat who joined us for one of our picnics, and also came to visit us trotting along side his owner one evening. We did not want to leave, but we couldn't stay forever with a perfectly good bed waiting at home.... Thank you, and see you next year!
We have just returned from two wonderful weeks at Spring Valley. Debbie and Alan were very friendly and helpful. The site was well kept and it was lovely seeing the chickens and turkeys strutting their stuff. I saw a huge fish jump out of the lake and Alan said that some of the fish were over 15 lbs! We will be back in 2018.

Should be 6 stars. Beautiful clean modern and well keep site. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs when there was a last minute change of circumstances within our family.
Luck took us to this brilliant campsite an easy bus ride to the centre of Hull .Another eye opener a really great city ,truly deserving of the 2017 city of culture mantle. The campsite created and managed by the resident owners is a gem.
Lovely site very pretty ...very nice people. ...we will go .back....nice bar cheap drinks ....clean toilets ....thanks to Debbie for sorting the taxi out for our radio 1 big weekend it was kind of her as she didn't have to .....just the hangover to get over with now ....thanks for the late check out too...the Carter's x4

Love this place .. It's like a little piece of heaven 10 minutes from a busy thriving city. Lovely friendly hosts Al & Deb where nothing is too much trouble. Lovely little bar spotless washing and showering facilities both clean and modern in design. A must visit, even just for a little couple of nights away from it all to rest relax and unwind.

Had a very enjoyable weekend at this very pleasant immaculate site. We had a very interesting night drinking by candlelight in the clubhouse!! A power cut (Not the sites fault i add) didnt spoil our stay. Very helpful and friendly owners. We will definately be going back soon x
Great campsite , good sized pitches, very well laid out , large pond for fishing , shower /toilet block immaculate and clean. The club house is brilliant so friendly and welcoming , the best pint of Guinness I have tasted in a long while and prices very good. Overall a cracking quiet , relaxing site will definitely be back to this little gem. Thanks for a brilliant weekend kind regards Andy & Babs

Fab site. Well I would say that it is a hidden gem. I didn't know of it existence until I Googled sites near hull and found Spring Valley. Lots of time and attention to detail has been applied to this little haven. Owners are so friendly and helpful. First class. Definitely will be coming back.
