If you're looking for a way of marking Palm Sunday, please join Revd. Julie at 10am on the KCB Parish Facebook page for a livestreamed service of Morning Prayer!

Coronavirus is hitting many peoples' incomes hard, and that includes churches. Much of our income still comes from cash in the collecting plate each Sunday, which is just not available at present. If you're lucky enough to have a stable income at the moment, and you value your local church and the way it serves your community (whether or not you go regularly), please consider whether you're able to support your church financially, so that that ministry can carry on. Thank you.

As well as the Facebook page for St Andrew's, we've now created a page for the whole KCB parish (Kildwick, Cononley and Bradley). Please like and share the page in order to keep in touch with news and events across the whole parish!

Channels of communication
Now that the congregations of Kildwick, Cononley and Bradley are no longer meeting regularly, we are setting up other means of sustaining "community".
One channel is an email "list" that allows a group of people to receive emails sent out by Julie or the Secretary. There are two lists; one for the people of Kildwick and one for the folk of Cononley and Bradley. (Generally mails will be copied to both). If you would like to be on these lists, please PM us here and let us know your email address and whether you want to be on the Kildwick or the Cononley list.

The Bell Ringers' Corona Team have leapt into action today

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have today advised that public worship is suspended until further notice. This means that, with immediate effect, there will be no Sunday or other services at any of the churches at Kildwick, Cononley or Bradley.
This Sunday is Mothering Sunday. At 7pm this Sunday, you are asked to light a candle in the windows of your homes as a visible symbol of the light of life, Jesus Christ, our source and hope in prayer.
... Please participate in this act of solidarity and hope on Sunday. Amidst anxiety and uncertainty, may we continue to be people who are drawn by hope rather than driven by fear.
Please take care of yourselves in line with the official guidance, and, as far as possible, please also take notice and care of those around you.
Reverend Julie

In view of the government announcement today Chuffs will be cancelled for foreseeable future. Keep safe everyone God bless

User

So sorry folks but we have cancelled Messy Church. The diocese has advised us not to serve refreshments or do any food based activities and both those are very much part of the enjoyment of the event.

Messy Church this Sunday 15th at 2.30-4.30 in the Parish Rooms. All welcome

We all had a busy time at Chuffs today. We enjoyed making parrots but the favourite time is definitely snack time!!!

Historical Huntings
We had a request. In précis, it asked: "A relative, Roger Coates, is buried in Kildwick. Could you photograph the headstone?"
The answer had to be, "with that amount of information, NO!"
... But more information arrived, pointing to two of the most prominent ledger stones in the church, right in front of the altar. So the answer became "YES!"

User

We have decided to cancel tomorrow's Messy Church. The weather forecast is not good and it is better if we all stay safe and dry at home!
