St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice

About St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice

St Barnabas Hospice is Lincolnshire’s leading specialist palliative care provider. We organise some of the largest fundraising events in the county and lead the way in involving the community in fundraising activities to support the care service

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice Description

It is through the kind support and generous donations of the people of Lincolnshire that we have been able to continue to grow and expand our reach of care across Lincolnshire over the past 35 years.

All of our Care and Support is Free of Charge, we therefore have to raise as much money as possible to ensure patients and their families continue to receive the care when they need it.

We raise our money through a variety of ways from the Fundraising Teams to Shops and Lottery.

Organise an event in aid of us and we will supply you with all your publicity material or come along and support our many events across the county. If you’re taking part in a sponsored event we can supply sponsor forms or you can set up a justGiving page on www. justgiving.com

Raising Funds
You can make a donation, it may be in lieu of presents, in memory of a loved one or you might remember us in your will – there are many ways to give – visit www. stbarnabashospice. co. uk for more ideas.

GIFT AID IT – If you gift aid your donations its worth even more to us.

Volunteer
Can you spare some time? There are many ways in which you can help the hospice.

Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet.
Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go – falling forward into the clouds, skydiving down through the air as you start free-falling at over 120mph!
Whether you’re looking to fulfil a lifetime ambition or push yourself out of your comfort zone, we’re here to help every step of the way.
... The jump is a tandem skydive, which means you will be harnessed to a professional parachute instructor at all times. The jump and training are completed in one day and your instructor will be in control of your landing. Please note that you must be at least 16 years old to jump and be under 15 stone in weight.
How much does it cost?
This exhilarating once in a lifetime experience is completely free! All you have to do is raise a minimum of £395 for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice. You just pay a £25 booking deposit.
How will we support you?
Once you are registered, we will support you all the way to the end.
How will your support help us?
Your sponsorship money will make a real difference to patients and families across Lincolnshire who are living with a life-limiting or terminal illness. Your fundraising will help to ensure that St Barnabas Hospice can care for more patients and families near you, every day of the year.

My mum spent around 4 weeks there before she lost her fight. The staff and volunteers couldn't have done more to make her time there comfortable. Even with visitors, nothing is too much trouble. I'd especially like to thank Jenny Myers, Annette Green, Kim Gabbitas and Daniel Booth. Annette and Jenny sat and listened to me when I was sat with my mum and I can't ever thank you enough.

User

My father is currently here. They really are amazing genuine kind people. If there was anywhere i want my loved ones to be cared for it is here. !!!! Thankyou to all the staff and volunteers you are amazing

User

Mum wanted to stay at home and the lovely ppl allowed that to happen. The support they have to my dad over this sad and stressful time could not be faulted in anyway.

User

If there was more stars I would have still put the top amount I honestly can't rate these kind, genuine, beautiful souls highly enough they helped me through some of the darkest hours in my life and even made me smile when I was not sure I could remember how. I'll never forget you. You restored my faith that their are still good people out there Thank you just does not seem to do it justice x

User

I would like to say a big thank you to the nurses that looked after my mum at home, they gave my mum dignity, understanding and care in her last few days.
