150 years ago on this day, a Statute was passed founding the ‘Delegacy for Unattached Students’ – which evolved into St Catz as we know it today. The Delegacy was established so that students would be able to gain an Oxford education without the prohibitive costs of college membership, and we’re excited to be celebrating our 150th Anniversary over the next academic year!

To celebrate World Environment Day earlier this week, the JCR ran a photo competition asking students to send in photos of themselves fighting plastic pollution. Thanks to all who got involved, and congratulations to Emma Raven (2017, Biological Sciences) for her winning photo (middle row, third from left) demonstrating buying unpackaged fruit and veg as a student!
