As Damon Thomas was on holiday in Spain and unable to meet the play by date, Tricia Franklin-Bruce, Sarah Mclean and Jamie Ingham travelled to Spain at the weekend to join him and to play their Handicap Mixed match. Damon and Tricia were the winners...or were the post- match cocktails the winners?

The second semi-final went to an even more dramatic decider as St’ George’s made it to the final as they beat defending champions Nottingham in a match that went to the very wire.
Commonwealth Gold Medalist Joelle King put the visitors ahead with a three-nil win over Hana Ramadan, but Nottingham fought back with two five-game wins from Adam Auckland and Richie Fallows. Nottingham were just two points away from the final when Declan James was edged out 11-9 in the fifth ...by Tom Richards, setting up an enticing decider between Nick Matthew and Mohamed ElShorbagy.
Matthew surged into a two-game lead, and had match balls at 10-9 and 11-10 in the third, but world #1 and world champion ElShorbagy refused to be beaten, levelling the match and then fighting back from 2-7 down in the fifth to put St George’s into their third final in four years, one that will as two years ago, played on their home courts.
The Final will be on Tue 22nd May at St George's Hill.

Luxfords St George’s win thriller at Bexley
Round Nine concluded with a Division B match between Bexley and St George’s Hill, both in contention for second spot and a place in the semi-finals.
On paper it looked like it was going to be close, and so it proved as the match went one-all, two-all, finishing with a dramatic decider which saw St George’s Borja Golan beat Mazen Hesham 11-9 in the deciding fifth game to put the Surrey side into second place with one match to go.
... That match is at home to Chichester on Tuesday 27th March at 7pm. We need to win that match 4-1 to secure a semi final spot.
Mohamed El Shorbagy the World champion and Tom Richards are definitely playing for St George's that night so come and cheers on the team. Tickets are free for members and £10 for non members .

PSL Match Report
In Division B, Luxfords St George's Hill and Coolhurst, fourth and second in the PSL table, both knew a win would keep their playoff prospects very much alive,
With our all glass show court out of action the large crowd crammed in around Court 1 and 2 were treated to a night of exhilarating squash.
... When the visitors went 2-0 ahead thanks to a 3-0 win for Donna Urquhart over debutante Sarah Broadberry and a comeback from 0-2 down from Nathan Lake over Carlos Cornes, it looked as though it would be their night.
Surrey based Kiwi Lance Beddoes pulled one back for St George's as he prevailed in five against Joe Green, then the mercurial Dylan Bennett produced one of his best-ever wins as he beat Adrian Waller in four to set up a decider.
Local star Tom Richards, who played some of the best squash ever seen at the Club, completed the comeback win for St George's as be beat the higher ranked Scotsman Greg Lobban in four fast-paced games.
So St George's Hill climb into 3rd place with a game in hand on the leaders of the southern division . We have two matches remaining away at Bexley on Friday 16th March and at home v Chichester on Tuesday 27th March.
