This bank holiday weekend we are once again delighted to be hosting the Exhibition of Works by the Yardley Society of Artists. Church will be open 10am-4pm on Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th and Monday 6th May. Why not linger longer for a cuppa and a biscuit or a guided tour of the church? On Saturday, our Cafe in the Old School Room will be open 12.30pm-3pm, serving sandwich lunches, cakes and hot drinks so if you want to make a day of it, you'll be well catered for.
May is here!π Job 12:7-10 7 βBut ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; 8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,... or let the fish in the sea inform you. 9 Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? 10 In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.

The beauty of having a church with a south porch is that when you arrive extra early for the 8am, you can sit and listen to the birdsπ Psalm 104:12 By the streams the birds of the air have their habitation; they sing among the branches.
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Bond Pinner

Compassionate God, as you know each star you have created, so you know the secrets of every heart; in your loving mercy bring to your table all who are fearful and broken,... all who are wounded and needy, that our hungers may be satisfied in the city of your peace; through Christ who is our peace.

By George -he's got it all!
In the official church calendar, the feast of St George is transferred because the octave of Easter trumps it!π
An amazing afternoon at Messy Church. We are blessed with a wonderful team and some wonderful folk in Sheldon.
Girls just want to have fun! π
Terry brought Dexter into church today -a prequel to our animal blessing service in October, perhaps? π
Beautiful yellow and white flowers representing the light of Christ in church today. In the traditional language of flowers, the white rose symbolises spirituality and the true love that Christ demonstrated in his sacrifice on the cross and yellow calla lilies represent gratitude: our thankfulness to a God who will never forsake us.
God of glory, by the raising of your Son you have broken the chains of death and hell: fill your Church with faith and hope; for a new day has dawned... and the way to life stands open in our Saviour Jesus Christ.
The Lord is Risen! Happy Easter to all who live and work in Sheldon!
