You're very welcome to join us for the beginnings of our Christmas Festivities! We'll be building a living crib scene, which means an opportunity for the kids to come dressed as their favourite character - who do they want to be this year? One of the Kings? The Star? The more the merrier! We will also be treated to a performance by the Invisible Theatre Company - not to be missed! Sunday 8th December at 10am. See you there!

So our pilgrimage comes to an end and it is time to leave this beautiful country. This journey has been one of challenges, adventure and exploration . We have experienced the diversity of culture , wonderful hospitality and generosity of delightful South Africans and seen the wonder of Gods creation and some of the magnificent animals that share our world . We have laughed and supported each other through various challenges we have experienced . Thank you Cam for sharing your motherland with us: it has been a joy and a privilege . So long South Africa - until next time.

Lovely views from Table Mountain yesterday followed by a visit to St Georges Cathedral and an emotional visit to Robben Island walking in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners

Today’s journey: lovely stroll on Plettenberg bay beach paddling along the shoreline . Followed by a drive along the Garden Route to Addo Elephant Park. Absolutely amazing. Got up close and personal with the elephant followed by a short drive into the park where we saw mongoose, scrub hare some Bok and more elephants.

Our Cape Camino pilgrimage adventure continues heading East with such diversity. We called in to Franschhoek a beautiful town surrounded by mountains and sampled the wine tasting in the vineyards . Psalm 121 came to mind : Julie found a labyrinth which was duly walked . Then we drove for 9 hours over 5 mountain passes to Knysna l.Stuart and Cam had fun driving over these peaks!and round hairpin bends! Oh what a wonderful awe inspiring magnificent sight: It reminded me of... the words of a hymn: “ How beautiful on the mountains our the feet of those who bring good news” inspired by Isaiah 52 We ended our drive at Kynsa tired but exhilarated to find our apartments on the water front They following spent on the Cliffs of Knysna heights overlooking the lagoon and Indian Ocean watching the contrast between the waves landing on the mighty cliff rocks and the peaceful gentle lapping of them in the lagoon: and explored the lagoon on a paddle steamer We live in such a beautiful world and are so blessed. Our evening ended with a lesson for Julie . Brian and Cam on how to make a South Africans drink called Dom Pedro duly enjoyed by Jenny and Margaret and Julia Today we leave this beautiful place and continue our travels up the garden route to The Eastern Cape to find ( hopefully) some of God’s magnificent creatures in Ado Elephant Games Park( the big 5): our safari adventure begins .
