St James Church Pre-School

Many families return to our friendly setting knowing that their child is at the heart of everything we do.
Our Pre-school opened in 1974.
We now open for early drop off at 8. 45am and lunch club every day 30 HOURS now being offered

Registration

A child may be registered on the waiting list at any age.

There is currently a surge in demand for pre-school places within Woodley so we would advise early registration.

Children may start St James’ Pre-School from the age of 2 years if parents feel they are ready.

To help their child settle, a parent is welcome to stay for all or part of a session if they wish.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum set by the government. Some children stay with us until they start Reception (Foundation 2).



Cost

If your child starts pre-school before the age of 3 years, the fees are £11 a session for the school year 2015-2016.

When children reach 3 years of age by the start of a term, they are then funded by Wokingham Borough Council for up to 15 hours a week.

Some 2 year olds are also funded according to social circumstances. Funding may be split between 2 settings.
