St John At Hackney Gigs

Gigs are pretty special at the best of times, but, occasionally, you get the chance to see someone mega in a place that’s small, weird and wonderful.

St John-at-Hackney is one of those places. What makes St John so special is that it remains a active church first and a venue second. With roots reaching as far back as 1792, it’s this icon building, set in the heart of Hackney that now showcases special one-off audio-visual experiences in direct response to its architecture, atmosphere and beautifully intimate surroundings. Acts such as Coldplay, Jessie Ware, Jamie XX and Nils Frahm have all played the venue over the past few years making it both an epic and intimate live space.
