Health Event for Patients - Wednesday 28th November:
Self Management UK have been commissioned by New Devon Clinical Commissioning Group to run a Marketplace Health Event which aims to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of the people in the local area by linking them with high quality community based charities and groups.
This event will inspire engagement and signpost individuals living with long term health conditions and Carers to on-going local support. Changes to ...health services can cause fear and confusion for the public. This event provides an opportunity for local providers to work in partnership to reassure and give greater clarity around local service provision.
This really is not an opportunity to be missed by your patients.
Self Management UK provides self-management programmes to improve the lives of individuals who live with one or more long term condition and Carers. Our courses engage patients to manage their conditions more effectively by increasing their skills, building confidence and improving communication.

Development of a support group locally; My name is Michelle Videtta, I live in Dawlish. I suffer with the autoimmune disease ITP (Immune thrombocytopenia). I am looking for some help in starting up an ITP support group in Devon for people who are suffering with this disease. Currently there are no support groups for this in Devon. The idea of this group is to meet monthly and share stories and support one another and also to fund raise for the ITP Support Association.
To ...get this group started I have set up a Facebook page and also an email address where people can contact me for more details.
