St Luke'S Church, Dunham-On-The-Hill

St Luke's Church was consecrated on 18th October 1861 as a chapel of ease for the village. Prior to its construction the congregation would walk to the church at the neighbouring village of Thornton-le-Moors to attend services. It serves the hamlets of Dunham-on-the-Hill and Hapsford, whose total population is around 600. \\The Diocese of Chester has launched a new initiative called "Growth Action Planning" or GAP for short. At St Luke's we started our GAP project by asking residents of the Parish what they are looking for in the church, so that we can change to serve the community better.
