Was at the hospital for X-ray and blood test without appointment. Didn't have to wait for long

Doctors are very friendly and have a professional attitude although there need some improvements on reception as I could see they are too busy with personal talks.

The nursing staff at Themis hospital are great but the head don't know what the elbow is doing in their ENT department. Plus if you ever need to call this hospital don't bother it takes the switchboard at least 5 minutes to answer the phone and then when you finally get put through to the department no one is there and there is no resources for leaving a message and hoping they will call back. I've been waiting on a call all week and when I have tried to call no one is there. It's so frustrating when you are dealing with a child's health!!!

I have been attending St. Margarets hospital recently, having got fed up with the private merry go round. What a difference, the nursing staff are incredible, the ladies that do the blood test are so nice, as well as the young lady that does the ECG's. The consultants I have seen have been excellent. The staff here really do care. You are made to feel an individual rather than somebody that is earning money for them. The speed that I have had scans and X-rays done have been faster than I have had done privately. I have now decided to give up our private medical insurance. Ray

Thank you so much to the lovely team at the breast screening centre. I saw my GP on Thursday and was very quickly referred to St Margaret's for an appointment on Wednesday. Thankfully all good news and the friendly team made my visit far more pleasant than I had been expecting. I would definitely recommend St Margaret's.

I have been referred to get my mole romoved and booked at 2.45 in the afternoon. I turned up before the booked time and asked to wait in the waiting area. Then 30mins later one doc called my name and checked my mole then say nurse has to do it. He told me I have to wait for 1 hour as the nurse is busy. I don't understand why I have been booked with a doctor who actually cannot do the job. If nurse or someone else can do the job, why I have not been booked with the right people at the first place. What a wasting time. Poor management!

Have used the walk in x-ray department and 24 hour GP services which couldn't be easier and accommodating.

Urology Department - the staff are absolutely amazing, they give more than they receive in wages. They are friendly, caring, passionate and I cannot praise them enough for all they have done for my husband.
Staff, you are the best and thank you. xxxxxxxx

I was referred to the ENT Outpatients after a hearing test and an appointment was made for 10th August 2016. Prior to the appointment I received two texts reminding me and mentioning missed appointments cost the NHS £150.00. The appointment was cancelled 24hrs before it was due and rearranged for 21 September at 3.45pm. I arrived in plenty of time and spotted there was a notice saying that the clinic was running 30 minutes late. After an hour I was not alone in getting a little impatient when a nurse announced that there was a further delay.
When asked for an explanation for the delay she returned some 15 minutes later to say that then Lead Consultant, Mrs Rogers, was selecting which patients she would see and which she would pass on to her assistant. We asked why this should cause such a delay and why was this selection process not decided prior to the commencement of the clinic. No explanation was forthcoming. I'm sorry to say that my next course of action was to cost the NHS £150.00 as I lost patience and left. I felt sorry for the nurse who had to bring the bad news.
