Thank you to everyone who completed the charity abseil from the top of Churchstanton Church Tower yesterday.
Our Director of Clinical Services, Joy, and our Director of Governance, Hilary, joined in the fun and conquered their own abseils.
Well done all, a great personal achievement and the money raised will make a real difference to our hospice.🌻

Thank you so much to everyone that organised and attended the Ladies afternoon tea and fashion show in East Coker on the 15 June. An amazing amount of money was raised which will make an incredible difference to our hospice. 🌻

Thank you to 16-year-old Bethany and her friends from NCS - National Citizen Service who raised money to install solar lights in our Yeovil hospice garden.
Bethany's Mum was cared for at the hospice and it was her last wish to see the garden lit up. Bethany has now fulfilled this promise and helped to light up the garden for our patients and their families.
Thank you to BBC Somerset who came down to the hospice yesterday to film the lights being installed by Bethany and her friends.

Thank you to our wonderful volunteer Sue who sent us this picture of her sunflower-y van!
She decked out the van with sunflowers when she was volunteering at Ile Valley Classic Vehicle Club's Portway Classics event on Sunday.
The event, organised by John and Bernie, raised £260 for our hospice which could pay for a Specialist Community Nurse visit for two of our local patients being cared for at home and for a patient to spend a day in our Sunflower Day Care Centre, meeting ...people in similar situations, receiving important symptom control and providing crucial respite for carers.🌻

Well organised and executed, Thomas (7 yesterday 14/06) said it was brilliant and epic! Both children and mum and dad thoroughly enjoyed the day and will definitely do it again for such a great cause.

We cannot thank you all enough for the care, love and support for not only my dad during the short time he was in your care in Yeovil but for the support you gave my family too.



Your staff are worth their weight in gold and we will always be so thankful to you all for ensuring my dad was peaceful when he passed.

St Margaret's in yeovil made my mum's last few days as comfortable as possible. This place is so important for our community and I can't thank them enough. They were so good looking after us all as a family through this awful time in our life's.

My wife was in Taunton st Margarets wot a fantastic place it is. The care she was given was just the best and made my wife dream came true as we took her to the sea side for a ice cream and 2 nurses came with us on there day off. St Margarets is so close to our hearts and never be able to thank the nurses enough. ��

My mum had Motor neurone disease, and she died in St Margarets in November 2011. The staff were fantastic and cared for her so well. They also cared for us as a family, and allowed us to be us. It was a heartbreaking and heartwarming time. They are worth their weight in gold.

My father was very compassionately cared for in Taunton, for which myself & my family were very grateful.

He passed some time ago, after a very long illness, I am ever in their debt.

Me and my family can't thank all the staff at Taunton for the amazing care you give to my dad and my family! Everyone who works there are just amazing xxxxxxxxx

It's the worst moment in time of your life with a loved one, but you are surrounded by the nicest caring people who really do care about the patient.

Great fun in a great venue! Very well organised, plenty of paint to be thrown and feel the beat disco along with halfway around dj dave provided a great soundtrack for running and partying! Will be back next year!!!
