Did you know its Afternoon Tea Week? Why not book to sample our afternoon tea all week in the White Rose Cafe.
Something a little bit different today. We hosted the retirement lunch for John from Pick Everard. With 35 years service many of his colleagues past & present came along to share in his send off.
Today we had the honour of helping Age UK host a lunch for all our local D-Day Veterans who couldn’t make it to France to join in the commemorations. Amongst the guests was Arthur Thompson (pictured) from Thurmaston who was awarded the highest French order of merit - The Légion d’honneur 🏅 It was a moving day and a genuine privilege to have had a hand in this truly special event.
Yesterday we welcomed all those who had attended the Maundy Chrism Service for the annual Chrism lunch in our Grand Hall.
New year, new look. We are excited to reveal our new website www.stmartinshouse.com
The White Rose Cafe reopens today following its refit. Pop in to sample your favourite of our homemade goodies, fresh soup and sandwiches or just enjoy the new decor.
It's been a busy July for our conference team. Not only have we hosted a national training team twice on a two day conference, we have also hosted two beautiful weddings in our Grand Hall.
Sana & Michael celebrated with us on 7th July. They brought a simple white and blue theme to the room.
Meanwhile Hester & James were married on the 28th of July and included their shared love of J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings.
... Both themes ensured the room and event was unique to each couple.

We’ve been very busy here at SMH over the last few weeks. Our biggest events was helping Lady Gretton, the Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire celebrate her retirement. It’s was a wonderful day and the weather held out too, which always helps.
Can you believe it's a whole (Liturgical) year since we hosted HM The Queen for the Community Maundy Lunch? Here's our memories of that very special day.
Our memories today show the end to our hectic week three years ago. Hard to believe it's been three years already.

Drop in for something sweet and celebrate shrove Tuesday with us.
It's been a busy morning for the #TimetoTalk event with people coming and going. There's still time to drop by and start the conversation until 4pm today. (Leicester City Council, Richmond Fellowship, Lamp Advocacy, Health Watch, Money Wise, LASS Leicester, Samaritans)
Today we're hosting a Time to Talk event. Drop in throughout the day to have that conversation or learn more about mental health & supporting others.
It's been a busy few weeks for our team. We've hosted Christmas lunches and parties for a variety of clients and friends including Sound Cafe, the Leicester Cathedral Volunteers, Berkeley and Shakespeare Martineau. Here's a sneak peak at our festive setups.
On Friday we were proud to host the High Sheriff's Christmas Fundraiser in Leicester Cofe Cathedral alongside our colleagues from the Cathedral team. Special thanks to the Leicester College students who joined our team for the evening.
The menu took inspiration from the menu we prepared and served for the community lunch that HM The Queen attended in April following the Maundy Thursday service.
