About St Nicholas Church, Allington
A Facebook page for St Nicholas Church Allington, and across the world on the WWW
St Nicholas Church, Allington Description
We want St Nicholas Church to be at the heart of our community: a place where God's love is expressed through our relationships and activities; where the Good News of Jesus Christ is taught and understood; where God's power to heal and to save is experienced; where God's people are encouraged and built up to go out as His ambassadors into their neighbourhood.
We want our church building to be a beacon of God's love for Allington; for our doors to be open to all, for this to be a place where everyone feels welcome and accepted; where anyone can come to talk or to pray, to be quiet with their own thoughts, or to hear a message of hope for the future.

We are improving the facilities (more toilets and an ingenious kitchen in a cupboard!) and updating the lighting, in St Nicholas church and need your help by donating 50ps throughout March! With the help of our local primary schools and pre schools we are trying to get from Playhouse, at the ACA to St Nics (via Allington Primary, Palace Wood & Poplar Pre School) in a virtual trail of 50ps. As you can see from the map we have made a start but I'm sure we can do better, so remember to take your 50ps into school or pre school this week!! The map will be updated weekly so hopefully the 50ps will be further along the route, please! If you don't have connections with the schools and would like to help us on our virtual trail please put the money in an envelope marked 50ps and give in to the church office.
