The ground floor restaurant serves a wide array of breakfast, lunchtime and evening meals, including our renowned afternoon tea.
The second floor venue bar is available for private hire, weddings, parties and events. On weekends and occasionally throughout the week, the second floor bar opens to the public until 1am.

we came as read good reviews, was lovely, clean & staff very friendly and helpful. took a while to decide what to eat coz thought was going to be a large selection of burgers, chose the pie in end and what a great decision, best meal I've had in ages, shame I didn't have room for pudding - we'll be back!!

We where in Shrewsbury for a long weekend to meet family and celebrate my husband's 70th birthday , the station Hotel didn't do breakfast so we went to your cafe, the young man looking after us was wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious, we asked about Sunday lunch as the youngest grandchildren can be a handful, he reassured us that we would be welcome,so we had a wonderful lunch together and even had a photo taken of the whole group by the same young man and came back for breakfast the next day. The food and service to us was excellent l would recommend it to anyone xxx xxx

We enjoyed a lovely lunch on Friday with our daughter. The gentleman that served us was polite and very helpful. He even arranged for our daughter to have a plain ham sandwich (as she didn't want anything off the menu), nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic service, lovely food, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The food was excellent, especially the steak it was fresh and very tasty. The rooms were outstanding and in great condition, it was a comfortable night for me and my partner. The staff were very experienced, polite and caring. I recommend everyone to book this hotel rather than the others. Thank you for your hospitality St Nicholas crew.

Superb modern trendy rooms, amazing grill bar restarant , wicked cocktail menu and proper professional outsamding friendly staff, 100% recommend and defo will be returning.

Second visit here having been in Shrewbury only 3 days. Great vibe, excellent, polite service. Very fresh and well-prepared food. It feels like they actually care about the customer experience. Well done team St Nicholas!

Perfect place to spend new years eve. Beautifully transformed old church. Hotel spotlessly clean with many extra touches making it an amazing stay. Breakfast lovely with choice of the full cafe bar menu. All staff extremely attentive and all totally committed to ensuring we had a great stay with them.

Unfortunately, a police incident in local carpark on our day of departure meant we could not have access to our car and maybe couldn't leave until the following day.

All hotel staff extremely kind and special thanks to Craig, who reserved a room for an extra night in case we were unable to leave for home.

'going the extra mile' describes this team, and I would highly recommend a visit.

Me and a group of friends booked a table on Sunday for Afternoon tea to surprise our friend for her 40th.

Everything from the food to the staff was absolutely perfect. I can not thank the staff enough, they were helpful, polite and attentive .

The food was yummy and presented lovely.

Look forward to coming back and would highly recommend.

I thought the £5 lunch offer we enjoyed today was great. The staff were polite, helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was fine, selection of sandwiches, something chocolate for one of the cakes would have been fab but that's just as I love chocolate. I would certainly go again if the offer stays.

Fantastic place. Have been here several times with friends and with family. The food is first class and the staff are polite and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We even asked for items that were not on the menu. No problem. Love it.

Beautiful building, friendly and attentive staff. Treated my mum to afternoon tea for her birthday which we had with prosecco and it was an absolute treat! Delicious freshly prepared food, I can't wait to go back!

Absolutely beautiful afternoon tea, a great selection of sandwiches and cakes, lots of tea, service was amazing. Booked to come back again in a couple of days! The best afternoon tea I have had ÔøΩAll for a fiver, amazing.

Three of us visited for lunch. Lovely menu, nice friendly staff but waited a while for our order to be taken considering it was fairly quiet. Food was fresh, nicely presented & reasonably priced. Chatted to the owner's husband who was delightful. We will definitely be back.

Should have known how rubbish this was when we arrived Saturday lunchtime and it was empty. Despite this we waited 25 minutes for our meal. When we chased it we were told they had to make the pie from scratch as they ran out. If they’d told me this I would have chosen something else. When it arrived the mash was cold and there was hardly any chicken or ham hock in the pie it was all sauce. The mash was cold and chips were soggy. We received no check back and had no time to rectify it as we were overdue for car park by this time. Staff weren’t bothered
